Welcome to Blackberry, which sits in the grounds of Harp Farm in the South Shropshire hills, a chequerboard landscape of field and forest, with an abundance of walks on the doorstep. The historic market town of Ludlow is just a short drive away with it's mighty castle, pubs, bars, restaurants and shops. Our nearest pub is The Tally Ho, which has just been awarded Shropshire pub of the year and it's just 1 mile away, serving great beer and probably the finest food in the area. The space We really are in the sticks and its a great place to chill and get away from todays modern life. There's plenty to explore, with rolling hills, forest and heath land all on the door step and the most amazing views. You'll have the whole of Blackberry to yourselves. People do not hurry in Shropshire. Mindful of a turbulent past when their ancestors held the gate between the wild Welsh borders and the orchards of England, they are now content to let the future take care of itself in a timeless zone. And Blackberry is right in the middle of that zone, you can step out of the door and explore the surrounding countryside, explore Iron age hill forts, ancient woods , streams and lakes. Or visit the historic market town of Ludlow with its mighty castle and vibrant market and superb restaurants. Church Stretton is just a short drive where you can wander on to the high moors of The Long Mynd, where bilberries and heather tint the hills rose or purple according to the season. The whole area is truly magical and very undiscovered. Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Dudmaston Hall are just a few of the National Trust treasures in the area. Or if you're feeling more adventurous you could venture out to Ironbridge and visit all the museums it has to offer. The nearest village for amenities is Aston Munslow about 3 miles away with its garage, shop and pub. And in the other direction about 4 miles is Ditton Priors with a general store, post office, pub, butchers ,garage and cafe. Checkout my guide book for places to eat and drink along with places of interest and things to do etc. House Rules The most important rule is not to burn down the place, and please check out by 10 am latest, as this allows us time to prepare the let to the same high standards as you found it in. Thanks Guest access You will have your own fenced in small meadow/paddock to yourselves. The rest of the grounds are private.
