This beautiful, light-filled cottage on waterfront property on the western side of Mount Desert Island has picturesque views of the Mount Desert Narrows and access to a private pebble beach. The house is on very secluded wooded property for a nice private getaway. All you will hear are the sounds of birds and waves lapping up on the beach. Just a short drive to all that Acadia National Park has to offer! The space This 2 bedroom cottage sits on 10 acres of wooded property, up on a small bluff with gorgeous water views and beach access. There is a second house (sometimes owner occupied, sometimes rented) on the property that shares the driveway . It is hidden by pine tress. We have seen harbor seals, porpoises, and bald eagles from the deck. You will feel secluded, definitely away from the hustle of civilization. The property is located a good distance from any neighbors, giving you some peace and quiet. It is about 1/2 mile from the main road. The living space features an large open living room and kitchen, with panoramic views of Bartlett Island, Bartlett Narrows waterway and the surrounding woods. Wake up to the sound of the water lapping on the pebble beach and the cormorants calling in the distance. The cottage is great for a family or group of friends. The kitchen is fully stocked for your use. The bedrooms include ample closet space and all linens you will need during your stay. Other things to note Some guests rent kayaks, have them delivered to the house, and launch from our private beach. There is wireless internet using the Starlink satellite system. It is the fastest internet connection you can get given our remote location. Some of our guests have used it to "work from home". The house has no land line, but cell service is available for most carriers.
