Gertie the Yurtie @ New Mill

Nestled in the grounds of a 19th Century Corn Mill, Gertie offers a tranquil getaway surrounded by nature. A cosy and secluded rustic retreat, she is the only yurt in the grounds. However you may get disturbed by the gentle sound of the river, the owls in the evening and it is very likely you will see bats and a Red Kite not to mention a very bold squirrel. The space Gertie has a 47ft (14 meter) waist, which makes her a 15ft Yurt with floor space of 16.5m2 She is insulated and a small wood burning stove makes her extra cosy. She has a solid wooden floor. Sleeping accommodation is a hand made four poster double bed with a blanket box at the foot. There is somewhere to hang and store your things A picnic basket of cutlery and crockery (including a bottle opener and cork screw) A sealable storage box to keep your midnight feast. And some soft furnishings Out side there is a small decking area with two chairs and a small table. Behind her is a wood fired pizza oven / grill There is also an outdoor kitchen with two ring gas stove and cooking utensils and pots and pans The washroom has an electric shower and flushing toilet There is also a kettle and a sink with hot and cold water. Guest access Off road parking is available. Please let us know in advance if you are bringing more than one car The Yurt is approx 25 meters from the parking. We will be happy to help you settle in.
