This floating home is located in a beautiful setting in a cove off the Ohio River. Drive to nearby towns and visit antique shops and restaurants in Vevay and Madison, Indiana. Clifty Falls is a great place to hike. Beltera Casino Resort is down the street and the marina is also close to Rising Sun, Hollywood Casino, and Sunset Grill on the water in Warsaw, Kentucky. Conveniently located close to The Neeley Family Distillery. Some have visited the Ark while staying here also. This is a floating home called, The Mermaid Lounge” and cannot be driven away from it's boat slip. No swimming off the docks. The houseboat has had a $40,000 remodel with a quartz countertop, farmhouse sink and a 5 foot shower with antique brass hardware. The marina is in a beautiful setting with tables and chairs available on the grounds. Enjoy the cozy, remodeled “Mermaid Lounge” Houseboat. There is a covered shelter with tables at the marina and an extra men’s and women’s shower/restroom, and rustic outdoor shower as well. Available at anytime. I live in a home at the marina. The beautiful views of the river, the sunrises and sunsets are the best part. Enjoy kayaking in the inlet, too. Getting around with your own vehicle is necessary because we are in the country. There is a shuttle to Belterra Casino Resort just down the street. You will need to drive at least 7 miles to the nearest restaurants, except the ones in Belterra. No smoking or swimming on docks around boats. Although rare, there is a risk of electrocution. I have kayaks available to rent and I can take you out on the river on the pontoon for a fee. NOTICE Fish can be very active from time to time and if they bump into the bottom of the Aluminum boat it sounds like knocking, if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing earplugs. Sometimes boats can move and might bump into the side of the slip or sticks can move in during the night. These can all make various types of noises, it is not like staying in a house. NOTE: Houseboat toilets are not like home, they can have different orders so to help keep the lid down, keep the cleaner squirted in the toilet after use, this toilet pulls from River water too, so sometimes you can see debris if the water is messy etc., I recommend using that shelter toilets or number two if you prefer. I also leave air fresheners and sprays in the boat to help. It shouldn’t be a problem if you keep cleaner in the toilet after each use. Thanks
