Close too are the historic towns of Rhinebeck, just across the Kingston Bridge, and of New Paltz, home to SUNY New Paltz and settled in 1678 by the French Huguenots. The home is just 300 yards south of the popular Headless Horseman hayride attraction and Belleayre Ski Resort is roughly 45 minutes away on Route 28 in Highmount , New York.
