Description
In a beautiful village of Haute Provence in the heart of the hills, our small house is intended as a setting for a relaxing and quiet vacation. Close to the main attractions: Forcalquier, Mane & Salagon, Manosque, Gorges du Verdon, Lavender Fields Valensole, Esparron and Oraison Lakes, Lure Mountain, hilltop villages; Banon, Simiane. Numerous walks, horseback riding, cycling & mountain biking. Two golf courses: Ribiera swing golf in Niozelles and the Golf du Luberon/Pierrevert. The space A pretty village house in Provence clinging to the hill. You can access it by passing a classified porch and a gate, an andrône, (tiny Provencal alley) that serves two houses: ours on the left, which can be accessed in a few steps, and our nice neighbor. The garden at the same level as the street is on two levels going down 2 steps. A small terrace for two/three at the kitchen level to have a coffee or breakfast. Otherwise, two dining areas in the garden with a beautiful arbor well shaded by a wisteria for meals and below a deck-solarium with sun loungers, hammock and other dining/breakfast area under the cherry trees, very pleasant in the morning. At street level: kitchen, living room, bathroom/WC The bedrooms are located upstairs, one overlooking the garden enjoys absolute calm and the other overlooking the street which is quiet. I would like to note to my future guests that in a comment in 2023 the sofa was mentioned as a sofa bed. This was to manage an emergency situation. This is no longer the case, so there are only two beds in this house: one bedroom with a double bed for two people and one bedroom for one person because the bed is 120 cm. Guest access The house and garden are at your disposal. Please close the small garden gate when you go for a walk as well as at night. You will have a garden shed to take a Provencal nap during the hot hours of summer or to put your empty suitcases, bicycles or golf bags. It locks. No barbecue in summer because of the drought in summer and possible fires in Provence. Other things to note No shops in Sigonce, only the Amandier bistro which makes bread to order the day before for the next day. Excellent table and friendly meeting point of the village. 9 km away you will find all the shops and an "Intermarché" in Forcalquier and in La Brillanne a "Carrefour" as well as the delicious ice cream of the Artisan Glacier: "Scaramouche" with traditional flavors but especially from Provence.
