The first floor of the 1830's brick cape, annexed to a 1970's Barn addition, is the rental suite. The guest suite has a separate entrance. Ground floor bedroom with queen sized bed. Small, well equipped kitchen, gas cooker, dishwasher, and laundry facilities. Dining room with old, exposed beam ceiling and large library of books. Comfortable sitting room with armchairs and pull out sofa bed. The space has a unique, warm feel as it is truly a home as well as being a rental. Our 1830's brick farmhouse/guest suite and location satisfies everyone from the explorer to the contemplative. Annexed/attached to the farmhouse is a 1970's Barn addition. John and I live in the annexed Barn addition with our dog Allie and cat Kish. We give our guests plenty of space and privacy. The farmhouse guest suite is well appointed with comfortable furnishings. The house sits up on a hill surrounded by trees, garden, and lawn/hay field. There are walks from the house up the hill which give you wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy many outdoor activities. Bird watching, hiking, bicycling, skiing, or just relax and read a book. The house is located off a quiet dirt road; in the winter, it is recommended to have a 4-wheel drive or good snow tires. Close to many ski areas. Our guest suite is dog friendly (one dog), as long as pup is crated and not left alone. $50.00 night fee applies. All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, etc. Pet owners are asked to bring bedding for their pet. Please, no pets on the furniture or bed. Sorry, no cats. Please feel free to read my guidebook to get a taste of a few of the wonderful places to see and visit in our area. There is a printed version on the side table.
