Located approx. 1/2 mile from the charming town of Hammondsport, August Dream has something for everyone to enjoy. This 1,800 square foot home boasts 81 feet of walk-in shale beach and a brand new permanent dock and renovated kitchen. Our home features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with two open living spaces. Enjoy an amazing view of Keuka lake from our large double decks. A true oasis! August Dream offers personal touches and comfortable appointments. Relax and recharge here your home away from home. August Dream has two levels, lawn, 81 feet of walk in shale beach and large, brand new deck (installed summer 2022). Upper Level: Enter the home one flight down from private parking to the spacious foyer. Galley kitchen** with all of the amenities from home including a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot, coffee grinder, tea kettle, crock pot, Ninja blender and a full array of cookware. ** Kitchen NEWLY remodeled in Spring of 2023. Oversized and cheery full bathroom with a clawfoot tub/shower. Large master bedroom facing the lake (king bed and desk). 2nd bedroom (queen) off of the bathroom and next two the master bedroom. Open concept living room and dining room. Enjoy gathering with friends and family around the large farmhouse table or on the comfy sectional. August Dream is equipped with Internet, 43” TV and Sonos speakers. Bring your own streaming device. The living space on this level faces the water. Enjoy the sunshine and view from this level as the lakeside is all windows. Lower Level: Take the staircase off the foyer downstairs to the lower level. Full bathroom Laundry area (washer/dryer) through bathroom 3rd bedroom (double bed) facing the lake Second living space overlooks the waterfront with a queen sized sleeper sofa for extra sleeping space. This sunny space with a 43” TV is a perfect place to take advantage of our game and DVD library, work on a puzzle or just hang out with friends and family. Convenient wet bar and mini-fridge in this living space is a bonus! Outside: As you open the sliding glass doors from this area, step out onto the smaller of the two decks to a cozy sitting area (cushioned couch and 2 cushioned chairs) when you can take in the stunning lake view, sip coffee in the morning or enjoy local wine as the sun sets. Step down to the larger deck and enjoy dining al fresco on the large outdoor counter height table with seating for 8. BBQ grill with propane is provided for your use. Walk down a flight down to the yard and enjoy the grassy area. On the waterfront, you have ample opportunities to sunbathe, swim, boat, kayak or fish from the dock. Our boat house is stocked with water floats, life vests and towable tubes all for your enjoyment. Bring your fishing poles! Brand new, large dock (Spring 2022) with space to park your boat on the end of the dock. There is also boat parking behind our hoisted boat which accommodates approximately up to a 20 foot pontoon. Watch the sunset from the beach and enjoy a bonfire right on the shore. Firewood is provided for the lake front fire pit. Side porch can be accessed from either the lower level side door or the steps on the side of the house and deck. Relax and take in the idyllic view, read a book or take a nap, the choice is yours! Porch has a clothesline for drying bathing suits/towels and a ceiling fan. Additional information: Private parking for 2 cars plus additional (public) parking across the street. Ample dresser and closet space. Air conditioning is provided in all bedrooms and upstairs dining/living area. (AC units removed in Winter months). Ceiling and standing fans throughout. Hardwood floors through the home (one bedroom is carpeted). Air mattress available. Baby gate available to use as needed. 3 kayaks available for use. 1 paddle boat available for use. 2 stand up paddle boards available for use. All bedding, bath and beach towels are provided. Basic supplies provided (spices, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, cleaners). Hammondsport has been voted the `Coolest Small Town in America` by Budget Travel and we think you'll find it is an amazing place to get away and explore the Finger Lakes. August Dream is perfectly situated on the lake to take advantage of all that Keuka has to offer! Be out guest! Guests may access all areas in the house and boat house with the exception of the attic. Feel free to contact us with with any questions or area recommendations during your stay. Although we reside out of town, we do have family in Hammondsport in case of an unlikely emergency. Because of our ideal location, our guests can enjoy the best of the area's offerings. Our home is walking/biking distance to the town of Hammondsport. In town to enjoy a meal and browse the local shops. Experience live music in the town square (Thursday nights). The Hammondsport Visitor's Center, the US Post office, FedEx center, local bank, wine shop, grocery store and deli are all in town as well. Local wineries and breweries are just minutes away by car. We are perfectly situated to experience all that Keuka Lake has to offer! Keuka Lake is surrounded by walking and cycling trails. Easily accessible by car. Parties and events are not permitted at August Dream. We respect our neighbors and ask you to do the same. Smoking is not allowed in the house, on or near the property. This includes vaping.
