The River Flat is secure and comfortable with a patio and garden located right next to the river Thames in the very centre of Oxford. Buses from London and its airports stop 400m away inbound (St Aldates) and 150m away outbound (Speedwell St) Taxis can drop-off / pick-up just 50 meters away. There are more than 20 restaurants / cafes within ten minutes' walk and two supermarkets within five minutes' walk one of which opens from 07:00 until 23:00 daily. The space The River Flat has a private entrance facing the river and comprises a main bed and living room with a comfortable double bed, a single metal-framed Futon Company sofa bed, a 32" HD TV and a dining table with four chairs. There is also a separate small private kitchen and a small but stylish private bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. The neighbouring apartment is my other Airbnb (Thames Side). Guests will sometimes meet other guests in the shared garden - the table and patio outside the entrance to The River Flat is for the sole use of The River Flat's guests. Thames Side's guests have sole use of a second table and chairs in a veranda which is around the corner from the River Flat's patio. Guest access Everything that Oxford has to offer is within walking distance of The River Flat. There are beautiful riverside walks right on the doorstep, the main bus and railway stations are both ten to fifteen minutes' walk away and Carfax is less than a ten minute stroll. Cars are not advisable in Central Oxford - the nearest (rather expensive) carpark is Westgate Oxford: Thames St, Oxford OX1 1TS. This carpark is modern, bright and secure and is located beneath the Westgate Centre itself just 200 metres from The River Flat. Pay on foot (before departure). Coins, notes, cards and contactless accepted. Monday to Sunday, 6am to 5pm 0 to 1 hour: £3.00 1 to 2 hours: £4.00 2 to 3 hours: £5.00 3 to 4 hours: £7.00 4 to 5 hours: £9.00 5 to 6 hours: £11.00 6 to 12 hours: £18.00 12 to 24 hours: £35.00 Monday to Sunday, 5pm to 6am (evening tariff): 0 to 1 hour: £3.00 Over 1 hour: £3.50 You must arrive after 5pm and leave before 6am to qualify for the evening tariff. If outside these hours, you will be charged the standard tariff.
