Embo House

Embo House was founded in the 16th Century as a Castle of the Clan Gordon. Remodelled in Georgian times, it combines classic elegance with contemporary luxury and is ideal for large groups of people, as it sleeps up to 16. Seven of the eight double, en-suite bedrooms look out over the sea. Outside there 8 acres of attractive gardens - and a path directly to the beach. Royal Dornoch, with its Castle, Cathederal, Shops, Restaurants and world-famous Golf Club is just 2 miles distant. The space Embo House is uniquely spacious and gracious! Downstairs it boasts a light and airy Kitchen, grand Dining-Room, cosy Sitting Room, large, cedar-lined Library and a Games Room/Whisky Bar. Plenty of room therefore for everyone in your party to enjoy themselves - and open fires for everyone to sit in front of and chill. Outside, there is also a glass Summer-House, Tree-House and other buildings housing ping-pong and table football games, a built-in BBQ - and a practice Golf Pitching area. The house occupies a commanding position above the Dornoch Firth and views out over the sea from the house and gardens are simply spectacular, particularly at daybreak. Guest access Guests have full use of the house and gardens. Other things to note The house is let out primarily on a self-catering basis, however, we can provide Full Scottish Breakfasts and Chef-cooked Dinners on request. In addition, various housekeeping services can be provided (at extra cost) - and a hot-tub can be hired for the duration of your stay.
