Take a step back in time in the Heritage Room with the original wood floor, vintage lighting, and armoire. It is situated on 64 acres and includes walking areas and forests. Pick blackberries in the late summer. Watch Summer Chum salmon spawning in Salmon Creek in the late summer and early fall. In the winter you can warm yourself by the woodstove. Like a traditional bed and breakfast, you will stay in our home with us. You will have a private bedroom and bathroom. We will share the living room and kitchen with you. We offer a self-service plant-based breakfast bar with an assortment of packaged granola bars, nuts, instant oatmeal, dry cereal, fresh fruit non-dairy milk and yogurt, and hot drinks. (To meet the health department requirements, we cannot serve a homemade breakfast because we have a well.) We use natural, unscented laundry soap so linens do not have a strong scent. We are located on 64 acres along the Pacific Northwest Trail (PNT), which starts in Glacier National Park and ends at Cape Alava on the Washington coast. We are conveniently located 1 mile from Highway 101. We are located just one mile from Highway 101, 20 minutes from Port Townsend, 25 minutes from Sequim, and 45 minutes from Port Angeles. Note: most restaurants are 15-20 minutes away. You will have access to the kitchen and living room--areas that are shared with us and with other guests. Outside, you'll be able to use the wrap-around porch, porch swing, hammock (seasonal), hot tub, the yard, and the nearby woods. We look forward to sharing our home and meeting new people. We will gladly share information about the local area. While we enjoy interacting with our guests, we also respect your privacy. I work from home, so I am usually around, or available by phone or text to assist with any needs or questions. We are located along a county road in a rural area, yet only 1 mile from Highway 101. We are 20 minutes from historic Port Townsend, 25 minutes from Sequim, and 45 minutes from Port Angeles. We are located one mile from the bus stop opposite Discovery Bay store, which is served by Jefferson Transit #8, which runs between Port Townsend and Sequim. If you would like to use the kitchen to cook, please let me know ahead of time so we can coordinate the use of the space. We want to maintain a plant-based kitchen. Please do not cook meat, fish, or poultry. If you want to eat prepared foods, such as restaurant leftovers that contain meat, that is okay. We do not want any meat, poultry, or fish cooked in our kitchen or on our grill. It is okay to cook eggs, milk, and cheese. Check-in time is between 4 and 9 p.m. unless other arrangements are made. If you'd like to arrive later, you may use self-check-in using the keypad. Quiet Time: Our day begins early, which means we go to bed early. Please do your best to be quiet after 9 p.m. We will do our best to be quiet in the morning so you can sleep in if you want. Pets: We have a fenced yard area for dogs. Please indicate when you book that you are bringing pets. The pet fee is $25. Please take a moment to review the house rules to make sure we are a good fit for you. No smoking. No parties.
