1870s Sea-View Stone-Built Traditional Mansion

A traditional Mansion built circa 1870s with stunning views of Andros Town and the sea, situated at the picturesque village of Ypsiloun, just 10 minutes off Andros Town and the nearest beaches. The Mansion is split between an Upper and Lower House, including an Outhouse, accommodating up to 10 people. All premises are surrounded by lavish gardens and sea-view patios that will redeem your choice. It is suitable for groups of friends or families with assisting personnel. The space The Upper House (1st Floor, Attic and Outhouse) includes: 1st Floor: - a living area with a fireplace, sea view and a patio, - a dining room, - a fully equipped kitchen, - 1 double bedroom with sea view and en-suite bathroom. Attic: - 1 double bedroom with mountain view, - 1 twin bedroom, - 1 bathroom. Outhouse: - a BBQ & a Traditional Oven, - a sea view patio with a dining table. The Lower House (Ground Floor) includes: - a living area with sea view and 1 double sofabed, - a fully equipped kitchen with a Traditional Oven and a small dining table, - 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, - 1 extra bathroom, - sea-view patio. Both the main building and the outhouse are surrounded by lavish gardens and sea-view patios that will redeem your choice. The house began its upcycling journey on 2010 as an abandoned, semi-derelict, stone-built castle-house dating back to the 1870s and completed it on 2018. During the process our family strived to preserve its traditional characteristics, now proudly boasting: - Two Traditional Ovens (Fournos) one in the Outhouse and one on the Ground floor kitchen; feel free to bake your own bread or lamp using our clay pots, - A Water Reservoir (Havouza) fully taking advantage the village's irrigation channel, - Dry Stone Walling - a landscaping technique that UNESCO has recently added to its Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
