The small, charming and perfectly equipped Casa Orto Bottini is located in the ancient village of Metato, the magical navel of Versilia. The space Casa Orto Bottini, accessible from the large veranda, is spread over two floors: it consists of a full kitchen with a relaxation corner on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom on the upper floor. The equipment supplied with the house includes: television, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, traditional oven, moka, hairdryer, barbecue. Outside, a covered veranda equipped with a wooden table and iron chairs will allow you to enjoy lunch and dinner with breathtaking sea views. The long garden, also with a sea view, equipped with 2 chaise-longues will guarantee relaxing sunbathing and romantic aperitifs in the bench area, also enjoyable from the terrace on the upper floor. Guest access The ancient village of Metato is located on a hill 423 meters above sea level. Its central location, with respect to the valley of the city of Camaiore (6km), offers a spectacular view of both Camaiore and its coast. Immersed in the breath of the woods, illuminated by the sun from dawn to dusk, kissed by the sea breeze, enveloped in silence, its ability to evoke forgotten emotions is truly unique. Here, there are no shops, only the discreet hospitality of the inhabitants of the village and the natural taste of the authentic traditional cuisine of the "Il Fondaccio" Club. Metato owes its name to the ancient chestnut dryers, some still used today, called "metati". From the village, the marked trails lead to the peaks of the Prana, Matanna and Gabberi mountains (Apuan Alps) and to the towns of Summonti-Peralta, Campo all'Orzo, Montecastrese, Casoli and Candalla with its attractive waterfalls and swimming pools (35 min walk). The charming city of Camaiore (Campus Major), on the ancient Via Francigena, is only 10 minutes away by car. In the heart of the town, organized around ancient squares and pedestrian streets, the Natural Shopping Center develops with its neighborhood shops, restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias and characteristic bars and cafes, and it is possible to access all the major services. There is no shortage of churches, museums, exhibitions, and numerous initiatives and events organized here by the Municipality. There are also 2 supermarkets in the city (Conad and Sigma). Other things to note The wide uphill municipal road (Via della Torre/Via Metato), which leads to the village of Metato, is about 3 km long. At the end of the road is the village parking lot (Piazza Fratelli Ceragioli) where guests can leave their car for free and continue on foot, uphill, along the main path of the village to meet Casa Orto Bottini about 224 meters away (estimated travel time 6 minutes). Mrs. Manuela will welcome you at the parking lot upon your arrival, accompany you to your home and provide you with assistance during your stay (languages spoken: English, French, German, Dutch).
