The small, cute and perfectly equipped, Casa Orto Bottini, is located in the ancient village of Metato, a magical navel of Versilia. It is the perfect balance center for an unforgettable stay to discover the countless sites of historical, natural and cultural interest of upper Tuscany or, simply, of complete relaxation: peacefully immersed in a unique dimension of sky, land and sea. The space Casa Orto Bottini, accessible from the large veranda, is spread over two floors: it consists of a full kitchen with a relaxation area on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom on the upper floor. The equipment provided in the house includes: TV, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, traditional oven, mocha, hair dryer, barbecue. Outside, a covered veranda equipped with a wooden table and iron chairs will allow you to enjoy lunch and dinner with breathtaking sea views. The long garden, always overlooking the sea, equipped with 2 chaise-longues will guarantee you relaxing sunbathing and romantic aperitifs in the bench area, also enjoyable from the terrace on the upper floor. Guest access The Old Borgo di Metato, rises on the hill at 423 meters above sea level. Its central location, compared to the valley of the town of Camaiore (6km), offers a spectacular view of both Camaiore and its coast. Immersed in the breath of the woods, lit by the sun from sunrise to sunset, kissed by the sea breeze, surrounded by silence, its ability to recall forgotten emotions is truly unique. Here, there are no shops, just the discreet hospitality of the inhabitants of the country and the natural taste of the authentic traditional cuisine of the "Il Fondaccio" Circle. Metato owes its name to the ancient chestnut dryers, some still used, called "metati". From the village there are marked trails that lead to the peaks of the Prana, Matanna and Gabberi mountains (Apuan Alps) and the towns of Summonti-Peralta, Campo alla Orzo, Montecastrese, Casoli and Candalla with its attractive waterfalls and bathing pools (35 min walk). The charming city of Camaiore (Campus Major), on the ancient Via Francigena, is only a 10-minute drive away. In the heart of the town, organized around ancient squares and pedestrian streets, the Natural Shopping Center with its neighborhood shops develops its restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias and characteristic bars and cafes, and you can access all the major services. Certainly there are churches, museums, exhibitions, and there are numerous initiatives and events organized here by the Municipality. There are also 2 supermarkets in the city (Conad and Sigma). Other things to note The large uphill municipal road (Via della Torre/Via Metato), which leads to the Borgo di Metato is approx. 3km long. At the end of it is the village parking lot (P.za Fratelli Ceragioli) where guests can leave the car for free to continue on foot, uphill, along the main path of the village to meet Casa Orto Bottini approx. 224 meters away (estimated travel time 6min.). Mrs. Manuela will be there to welcome you to the parking lot upon your arrival, to accompany you to your home and to assist you during your stay (languages spoken: English, French, German, Dutch).
