"Bowie" is an open plan apartment with high ceilings, large windows, oak floors and a mix of retro and contemporary furnishings and blackout shutters. Located minutes from the river Spree, in a quiet street but close to restaurants, nightlife and the urban tourist attractions of the area: the Media Spree, RAW-Gelände, Eastside gallery, clubs, Mercedes stadium, markets, and the recreation area of Treptower park with riverfront and forest walks. It's a ground floor apartment so access is easy. The space The apartment is a 53sqm ground floor space, in a Berlin Altbau with high ceilings and an open plan living, kitchen, dining and bedroom area. The apartment is fitted with contemporary furnishings of wood and velvet, with copper accents, and a custom designed oak table. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, plus a separate freestanding bathtub. Fast internet and TV with Netflix. Sleeping: There is a queen size bed, (160 x 200cm) a double sofa bed (140 x 190cm), and a king single sofa bed (109 x 185cm). The double sofa bed area can be screened off by floor to ceiling curtains for extra privacy. All bedding and towels provided. There are light curtains plus blackout shutters for those that like a dark quiet sleeping space (operated by the switch on the wall). We provide 100% cotton bed linen and towels, and feather pillows and duvets are as we prefer them for breathability. If requested 24hrs before, we can provide non-feather bedding (if available). Guest access You have full private access to the whole apartment. Other things to note Parties and events: Parties in the apartment are not permitted. We reserve the right to immediately end your reservation without refund if such an event takes place. Parking: Street parking is relatively easy but requires payment close to the apartment. Mon-Sat, €2-3/hr. The nearest parking garage at East Side Mall which is a 12 minute walk, for €10 day. (Prices may change please check) Cleaning: The cleaning fee is calculated for normal use of the apartment. If extra cleaning is necessary (extra mess or dirt) or smoking is evident, we reserve the right to charge extra. City tax: There is a 7.5% city tax in Berlin that needs to be paid for all guests in Berlin. It is 7.5% of your accommodation cost. Pets: A pet is permitted upon request at a charge of €35 per pet for 4 days. Max 3 small pets, or 1 large et. If you intend to bring a pet please discuss upon booking. (Note: the automatic payment of €35 covers one pet, additional pets are €35 for 4 days, and additional days beyond 4 days are €10 per day). Pets are not allowed on the bedding or furniture, so bring your own cushion or pet bed, and can not be left unattended. There is a washing machine and a drying rack. Monitor: This home is equipped with a device that monitors the environment inside the property (including noise levels, temperature, and motion) to ensure guests have a pleasant stay and our neighbours are not disturbed.
