The house has large bedrooms w/ automated central AC from 10pm to 10am (owners' locked office available as 4th bedroom with queen bed ceiling fan and two east facing windows $250/night additional fee to be adjusted on airbnb), 3 baths, and a large outdoor shower. The bedrooms can be set-up with twin beds or a king bed. The two downstairs bedrooms each have 18 foot ceilings, soaring duraflame fireplaces, and open onto a dream-like screened room which is a dry space with rainproof ceiling with a teak day-bed-sofa and a third dining table. The upstairs bedroom opens onto an east terrace overlooking the pool as well as a 15x30 west terrace facing the sunset w/huge teak sectional sofa for the perfect sunset cocktail party. Upstairs owners' office convertible as 4th bedroom for an additional $250/night. The great room spills onto the Mahogany pool deck. The 2021 heated (80 degrees)/saltwater pool has full-width lounging steps at both ends, 6 chaise, large teak dining table w/ Italian chairs, a private and generous outdoor shower, and gas grill. The great room is a 1960's classic design w/ sunken fireplace pit, kitchen w/ new appliances, powerful ceiling fans, oval Saarinen dining table seats 8, and 14'-18' ceilings throughout. The hi-speed wireless internet is reliable for work and streaming. Please note we apply a $300 cleaning fee which covers basic housekeeping in the way an ordinary housekeeper would clean your home once a week or once every other week. We do not apply a $500 cleaning fee as many do in the Pines (our next door neighbors ), as our guests tend to leave the house neat and tidy. If you book our house, you agree to leave it in relatively clean condition requiring only that our cleaning people perform an ordinary weekly clean. If your group would tend to not treat our house with respect and keep it reasonably clean, please do not request to book. Thank you. The house is located in the dreamy west end of the Pines, walking distance to historic Cherry Grove through an enchanting and famous dune forest or on the beach. The beach is a mere 350 feet away. Perfect for a morning stroll in your pajamas with coffee in hand, and for carrying an umbrella, chair and a good book to the beach for some peaceful reading. Check in is 3pm and check out is noon. Holiday weeks carry a five night minimum. There is much history to this house, which was built by the son of the famed Howard Hughes nemesis who held the world records in amphibious flight time as portrayed in the film "The Aviator."
