Wake up to birdsong at rustic Gumtree Cottage!

Close to nature, self-contained; a haven of tranquillity. Set in the beautiful Adelaide foothills, a prime location within easy reach of walks, cafes, transport, etc PLEASE READ; this is a rustic cottage. The shower setup is unconventional, though does provide a warm - hot shower depending on the weather! - READ BELOW. The cottage cold water tap is drinkable, no hot tap. Street parking on the no-through street. Please only stay if you're wanting a place to escape the modern world! Enjoy! The space PLEASE READ - Access to the cottage is across my very large garden, steep in places and approx. a 150m walk from street to cottage. ACCESS ISSUES - due to the natural surroundings, unpaved pathways, two lots of steps and the driveway/garden steepness in places, my property is not suitable for guests with mobility concerns. The accommodation consists of one large main room which accommodates 2 - 4 people. There is a queen-size bed, rail-hanging space and chest-of-drawers. The room includes a sitting area with sofa bed (double), coffee table and TV. The equipped kitchen-dining area has a breakfast bar, and dining table with four chairs. Please note: only a cold tap (drinking quality ) is in the kitchen. The cottage has air-conditioning in the warmer months and a free-standing heater for the winter season. * FULL DISCLOSURE* The bathroom is a separate room, adjacent from the cottage entrance. It has a bespoke shower unit, a gas portable water heater. Please note that in the winter the bathroom will be coolish, as the shower room has a glass-less window, which will affect the overall TEMPERATURE of both the water and room itself. Super close to nature though! Quite the experience! I do offer Wi-Fi at no extra cost. Please note; it is a home Wi-Fi of which the signal can sometimes reach the cottage. ie. It is free and if you can get a connection then please use it. It is better if you use your own mobile-data if you want to have a reliable connection. I do also provide an Ethernet cable which you'll find in the cottage. You're welcome to use it, plugging it directly into your computer. There is a large undercover gazebo area with a gas BBQ for guests to use. Seating and a table also.. There are many excellent mountain biking trails close by, highly recommended. Parking: street parking only. There is no parking available in the private driveway or carports due to said areas being in constant use. Please park your vehicle on the quiet, no through street. Thanks for reading and look forward to meeting you! Guest access The lower half of the garden nearest to the cottage itself has some seating, where you can enjoy a cuppa and a rest! Or gaze up at our ancient giant gum tree and watch the birds fly in and out. Note: please do not feed the chickens any food or scraps, as it attracts unwanted, wild pests! We have a very large bush-type garden and the cottage is a fair distance from the main house where my family and I live. Privacy is to be respected for all concerned. Other things to note IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK - PLEASE NOTE: REGARDING THE BATHROOM - the SHOWER is not a regular unit! It's a portable gas water heater, and the water temperature can vary greatly due to the external temperature (winter - warm, summer - hot). The BASIN only has a cold water tap. The WINDOW - There is a 'viewing window' which looks out onto the gum trees. There is NO GLASS, ONLY A FLY-SCREEN therefore the bathroom can feel hot or cold depending on the weather outside. It's super close to nature as you shower! It's quite the experience! Parking: there is no parking in the private driveway/carport due to said areas being in constant use - all guest's vehicles will need to park on the quiet, no-through street. Note regarding WiFi availability: not all devices pick up our WiFi signal. The sign-in details are provided for your use, but I can not guarantee a connection. There is an Ethernet cable provided which you can use, directly plugging it into your computer should you wish. My listing is a quaint, simple cottage surrounded by nature.
