The space It is an 11th century mound that served as a support for a fortified castle in the middle of the 12th century. It was partly ransacked by the English during the Hundred Years' War. Built in the 12th century, it was developed in the 16th century with larger openings. It should be noted that the architectural styles of La Planchette developed over the centuries are in perfect harmony with each other. The Château de la Planchette on its square grounds is surrounded by water-filled moats; the small corner towers are from the 12th century, the staircase tower on the facade from the 15th century. It is flanked by two outbuildings: to its right an outbuilding from the beginning of the 17th century with its mansard roof; to its left, a drawbridge and a caretaker's house followed by a dovecote from the 17th century, of which all the wood including the rotating ladder are original and intact. The Architect of the Buildings of France believes that this dovecote is the 2nd most beautiful in the Loiret by its site and its state of conservation. Our work has been rewarded with a silver medal for tourism (15 awarded throughout France). Guest access The park, perfectly maintained and landscaped, is spread over 2.5 ha and offers many nooks and perspectives to peacefully admire nature and its fauna.
