We appreciate your cooperation and will be very happy to welcome you here at a later date. Accommodation: Comfortable with vintage flair, this space is unique and spotlessly clean . Furnished with our finds from near and far, including rugs brought home from Iran. You can lounge around in freshly laundered dressing gowns on the deck overlooking your private garden or explore the property under the watchful eyes of the sheep or chickens. Robert and I chose to live here because it's just so beautiful. We really want to share it with as many people as possible. Perfectly located -close to Cygnet but tucked away amidst the hills. Feels miles from anywhere.Super quiet but especially at night. Great for animal spotting and stargazing. The guest accommodation is connected to the main house via a covered breezeway. Through the private entrance there are five areas: 1. The large vintage styled queen sized bedroom has plenty of atmosphere with a lead light window, wooden floors and Persian rugs. The french doors lead onto a wide north facing deck and your own garden. Wall heaters and electric blankets ensure you will feel cosy. Relax enjoy the birdsong or watch TV. Just ask us and we will provide it for you. 2. The living/dining/kitchen area continues the comfy retro styling. The newly appointed kitchen has a two burner electric cooktop, microwave and fridge. Fully equipped with pots, pans, crockery and tea/coffee making facilities. If you require an oven, just let us know in advance and you can use the oven in the main house. Breakfast supplies- cereals, milk, butter or marg, oil, vinegar, fruit, bread, eggs, tea/coffee/jam/etc. Retro dining table and chairs provide a cosy eating nook. Sit in the armchairs by the french doors or relax on the deck. You can see pasture and forest with the hills in the distance. There are plenty of books in the vintage cupboard by the arm chairs. 3. Bathroom-fully tiled with shower. Shampoo/conditioner/soap/toilet paper/tissues provided. Towels/hairdryer/first aid kit in cupboard. Ceiling heat lamp/fan extractor. 4. North facing deck accessible via french doors from bedroom and kitchen. There's a generous sized table with chairs for outdoor dining . Armchairs provide a comfy spot for relaxing. Great vantage point for animal spotting (torch provided) . A portable Weber BBQ is located just off the deck. Fire pit available in adjacent garden (dependent on seasonal fire permits). 5. The great outdoors! There are seats/ benches dotted around the property. By the dam, there's a picnic table with seats. It's really nice to really feel immersed in the environment. There's a yoga deck/covered platform in the highest paddock where you can chill out /read/ enjoy a picnic. We're in the process of rehabilitating the winter creek beds. This involves removing the blackberries and other weeds, replacing them with native species. This will greatly improve the available habitat for native animals both small and large. There are pademelons, quolls, devils ,eastern barred bandicoots as well as native hens ,masked lapwings and ducks. Note: - No smoking - Rainwater tanks only- water is precious so please use in moderation - Compost bin under sink for fruit/veggies. - Fire blanket (kitchen) and extinguisher (entranceway) - large line for clothes drying - please use laundromat in main street of Cygnet for washing clothes . - Access to oven in main house if required (just let us know in advance and we can arrange) - Picnic rugs/torches/umbrellas /esky/thermos/beach towels located in outdoor cupboard at entrance - The walk in to Cygnet is really lovely, especially the length of Olbrichs road, winding past pastures with cattle, sheep and horses. Although only a short drive to town, the feeling is one of seclusion, with stunning views and no close neighbours. We will be maintaining social distancing during your stay. Guest access Guests have their own private entrance, sunny deck and garden. There's a table and chairs for dining on the deck and armchairs for relaxing .Around the fire pit, you can use the seats or sit on a log and enjoy the view. Guests have exclusive use of the cottage. Guests are also free to relax and enjoy the view from any of the vantage points around the property including the orchard, around the dam, creek beds and paddocks. There are garden seats in sheltered spots and a picnic table by the dam. Other things to note We close the farm gate at night to keep the wallabies in the outer pastures. Please close it behind you if you are entering or leaving around dark or if gates already closed. Registration Details Exempt: This listing falls under the 'home sharing' exemption
