Foxwhelp, Cosy one bed accommodation in Wye Valley
Description
Whether you are looking to relax in the peace of the Herefordshire countryside, need a base from which to explore the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean or if you are coming to experience the outstanding outdoor activities available nearby, Foxwhelp will be a great place to stay. It is a lovely, fully equipped, one bedroom, first floor apartment in a converted sandstone barn with views across neighbouring fields and woods. The space Llangarron is a quiet village within the valley formed by the Garron Brook which runs through its heart. We are situated at Little Trereece which is at the end of a short country road approximately 3/4 mile from the centre of the village. We can offer a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, giving you privacy should you require it though our neighbours are always happy to stop and have a friendly chat. Despite our secluded position we are only a few minutes from some excellent road links. The accommodation is on the first floor and is accessed by external stone steps. Inside there is an open plan lounge and fully fitted kitchen. The double bedroom off the living area (having views across the courtyard area and back up the lane) has an ensuite shower room. For everyone’s safety we strive for a high level of cleanliness and ensure the accommodation is cleaned and sanitised prior to your visit. We have fibre broadband to the property so although the mobile reception can be unreliable there is a very good, “Work from Home” standard wifi connection There is plenty of secure parking on site and bikes can be stored under cover or if necessary locked away (just let us know). The neighbouring village of Llangrove has a friendly country pub that serves good food and welcomes visitors (and is dog friendly!). There is a local footpath that will take you there in approximately 35 minutes (but as LLangarron is in the valley and Llangrove is on the hill it is uphill on the way there!) The accommodation retains the original roof timbers and beams. Whilst the ceilings are high there are 2 beams which give are approximately 5'8’’ (173cm) above the floor. Previous guests invariably viewed these as part of the character of a traditional barn conversion. Guest access You will have your own space with plenty of accessible off road parking. Foxwhelp is situated on the first floor, accessed by external stone steps, with views out over neighbouring farmland and woods. Other things to note All bed linen is provided and also some personal towels. Dogs may be accepted by prior arrangement and on the understanding they are quiet and well behaved and not allowed in the bedrooms. We recognise that responsible dog owners will ensure they are kept on a lead where necessary and exercised off the premises, and not left in the accommodation unattended or on the furniture. Please remember to bring their own bedding/covers and feeding bowl etc. The neighbouring footpaths and quiet lanes are ideal for dog walking.
