Description
Located in the historic 101 Rancho, this cozy apartment is part of an ongoing restoration of this famous pitstop. The apartment has been restored to period with the addition of a few modern amenities. Surrounded by working farms, and just a "stones throw" from Zion National Park, the 101 is the ideal place to set up your home away from home. The area surrounding the building is open for visitors to enjoy, including access to the Virgin River, and private access to walking paths and the river. The space Built in 1942, the 101 operated as a market, tavern and gas station for over 60 years. Willie Nelson, Robert Redford, Jane Fonda and others performed here in music and film. The establishment closed in 2008 but reopened in 2017 as a restoration project. The completed project will include a re-opened market and additional rentals. The space is very clean, and private. The outside of the building is somewhat rough and undergoing construction, but the space is new and bright. Guest access Guests are welcome to experience the farm, private walking paths and river access. Goats, chickens and other animals inhabit the farm area. Other things to note The apartment is operated below a home. The residents have children, but maintain a quiet time of 10 pm to 7 am. During the daytime hours, traffic in and out of the house can create noise in the space below. Every effort is made to keep traffic above the apartment at a minimum, but some noise during the daytime hours is to be expected.
