Wake up with the rising sun, tweeting birds and nature. If you come spring or fall you might even be lucky to have big flocks of majestic cranes landing on the field. The area has a rich wild life, and in the garden you can see hare, rabbit, fesants, hedgehogs, deer and countless birds. Cook your meals on open fire or on the barbecue. Relax and Enjoy a simple life, without all the noises from everyday city life. Go on tours to nearby Svaneke, Gudhjem, Bølshavn or Listed. The space You rent a shelter and dont have access to other areas of the house than the bathroom. Please carefully read all our instructions before booking. Guest access You have access to washing mashines and a dryer. If you need storage space in our freezer we can arrange that. Guests have access to our newly renovated bathroom with a tub and shower. Tools, Air compressor etc for fixing bikes, car etc can be borrowed and access to the workshop is given on request Other things to note What you rent is a basic shelter and access to bathroom+water. Regarding dogs: Dogs are not welcome. We have free roaming chickens, 4 cats and a broad spectrum of wild life coming in our garden. These must be allowed to live as undisturbed as possible. So please respect this! The Library Cabinet: The shelter has a small library cabinet. It works on the principle of “take-one-leave-one” and is a small traveller-to-traveller-library. House rules regarding bon fire: 1) If you wish to make a bon fire please ask us first! If there is to much wind or the national meterological Institute has issued a drought warning of 8 or higher, we will have to decline your request. 2) Firewood is not included but can be bought at fair prices here - or you are welcome to bring your own. 3) The house has a thatched roof and we therefore take fire precautions extremely serious. All advices and requests from us regarding fire must be followed 100% to ensure the fire safety of our property. Fire advice: 1) Think when you make fire 2) Don’t make the fire so big, that is won’t burn out. 3) Don’t light a fire in windy conditions 4) Don’t light a fire during drought. 5) Never leave a fire without supervision 6) Kill the fire with plenty of water before you go to sleep!!! 7) Don’t use chemicals to light the fire 8) Never burn milk cartons, plastic, oil, painted wood etc. Only use dry proper firewood 9) Always have a bucket of water ready to kill flying embers. 10) Again: ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FIRE UNDER SUPERVISION.
