FOS - Ionian Breeze, house with great sea view

Set amidst a small old settlement, lies this house along with its twin FOS. Overlooking the impressive Afales Bay, the house has a relaxing feeling and a subtle elegance. During the day a refreshing breeze is flowing around, in the evenings the scent of jasmine fills the air. The space In an island of unspoiled beauty, where the lush vegetation is meeting the sea, this house offers a calm and relaxing environment. It has an earthy look with emphasis to natural elements. Top quality building materials along high ceilings, spacious showers and fine linen give it a subtle luxury but also a warm feeling. Provisions are being taken care of, to offer a very comfortable staying. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and espresso or filter coffee machine is provided. Also there is a speaker for listening your favorite music. For the colder seasons, the house is equipped with a pellet stove, warming beautifully the space, while other amenities like winter duvets, electric blankets, heated floor in the bathrooms and electric appliances are provided. Guest access There is private parking, right outside the house. Though the island is small and all distances are short, some means of transport is highly advisable, as there is no public transport. For accessing Ithaki island. Access to Ithaki is mainly from Kefalonia (Sami port). There are 2 ferry companies operating the route. Ionion Pelagos and Levante Ferries. It is a very regular route operating all year long, the busier months becoming more frequent. It is a short journey lasting 20-30 min. Updated schedules unfortunately are announced only a couple of weeks earlier. Access from mainland is via the port of Astakos and Patra all year long. For the months of July Aug and beginning of September there are routes from Lefkas, (Nydri port) as well. Other things to note The closest beach, Afales, particularly tranquil in the early morning, is only 800 m away. There are a few villages nearby. Stavros, Frikes , Kioni, Exhogi , Anoghi. All are in close distances, between 5 - 10 min drive. From here you can explore the numerous beaches located around this part of the island. The archaeological site "The School of Homer" is also not too far away. An activity very popular during the not so hot months is walking the old paths, reviling not only amazing views and scenery, but also the story of the island. During the month of November, you may participate in the olive oil harvesting, from huge old trees, in a setting that is unspoiled.
