Description
The Capannina is a Tiny House located in the historical center of Corfino. It is ideal for couples or friends due to its intimate spaces. The house has an open space concept, with the first floor having high ceilings made of wood and bright light coming in from the sunroof windows. The bedroom and bathroom are located at the lower level, accessible through a wooden staircase. The space Corfino is a peaceful little village at the foot of the Pania di Corfino which is a beautiful mountain that offers various hiking trails. While hiking you can admire the nature, wild animals and when arrived at the top, the landscape of the Valle del Serchio with it's little towns. Just a few feet away from the Capannina you can find the beginning of the CAI trails (numbers 56 and 58) that will lead you on top of the Pania di Corfino (1603 meters). Another trail that leads to the Pania of Corfino is the Airone trail (trail 1) marked by a yellow-blue sign. Another attraction located near Corfino is "Il Parco dell'Orecchiella" that can be reached between 10-15 minutes by car. The park is a natural reserve on the slopes of the Apennines in the Garfagnana region of Tuscany. The park includes large forests of beech, chestnut, and fir. The wildlife consists of woodland species such as the Italian wolf, bears, wild boar, deer, and mouflon. The area is also characterized by its raptors, including falcons and golden eagles. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. Other things to note During the summer there are different traditional festivals in Corfino: -The Art Exhibition which takes place in the Piazza is usually hosted on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August. Artist from all over Italy come to paint scenes of the town, in fact during the days leading to this festivals you might spot some artists painting throughout the town. - "Il Passo nel Passato" another great festival, is usually hosted the 12-13 of August. This festival is a walking tour through the village during which you can taste local dishes while admiring traditional craftsman at work.
