The space The Bashful Mermaid was built sometime before 1900 is a 6000+ square foot house that sprawls across a half acre with large open spaces, gardens, various outdoor seating areas just across the street from Lake Erie, Waterworks Park, Lighthouse, Trails/Marsh & a new beach area. It was converted to four private condos forty years ago and then operated as a bed and breakfast until 2016. This unit is 2000 square feet and is comfortable for one to six guests. We offer: 3 Bedrooms (Bedroom #2 and #3 are adjoining), No Bunk Beds or Pull-Outs so all who stay have their own bed Full Bath & Half Bath Kitchen, Breakfast Nook, Living Room, Dining room Private Deck with dining set and seating set Grill/Fire Pit Area Large Open spaces including a front porch with seating, back porch and Gazebo. include the front and back porches, large yards/open spaces and gazebo. Dedicated High-Speed Internet, Wi-Fi and work space which makes for an ideal remote work location while enjoying Lake Erie at its finest. The Mermaid is locally owned and managed by a host born & raised in Port Clinton with deep family roots & ties to the area. Additional parking is available on the street right next to The Mermaid. If there are guests wanting to bring a boat/trailer, please reach out. I have offsite parking/hook-ups available. Getting around is either by walking or traveling by car. The Mermaid is a 4 block walk to the downtown area and a bit over that to the Jet Express. The beach, light house, & derby pond are right out your door and a few blocks east will be the City Park and the City Beach. If you are wanting to venture to other sights in the area - either travel by car or call the local cab company. Other things to note Pets - Due to various needs of my guests & others, pets/any type of animal are not allowed. Check In Instructions - Are sent the day before your arrival. Access codes may not be sent until an hour before your arrival. Guest Service Fees: Guest service fees are not fees the host charge. These are fees that you pay to AirBnB to use their platform. Hosts also pay AirBnB hosting fees.
