The space NOTE..sometimes the whole house may be available. You must be OK with feeding the cats. So the master bedroom and ensuite downstairs may be available. You will get the whole upstairs to yourselves; a double bedroom with double bed, bathroom with shower over the bath, a living room, TV & a small balcony. This living room has a king single bed, a single fold down stretcher type bed and a double sofa bed. This double sofa pull-out bed could accommodate a second couple. To get upstairs you use the front door & go through the shared kitchen area. You will have use of the downstairs kitchen & casual dining area with space in the fridge & freezer if required. We are experienced Home Exchangers and have used Airbnb over 50 times locally & overseas; we know what you want!! We live in a beach community; Paraparaumu, on the Kapiti Coast, which is an hour by a scenic train ride into Wellington City or 50 minutes by car to the Interisland Ferry & Wellington City. We are down a drive-way and are quiet. We are surrounded by huge trees and have a stunning garden and outdoor living. There has been an expressway built about 500 m away in recent years so sometimes there is some low-level road-noise from trucks on this expressway. But not too noticeable & most guests don't even notice. It is a 7 minute flat walk to a large shopping centre and the train into Wellington is about a 15 minute walk. If you are really tired there is a bus stop at the end of our driveway!!! Paraparaumu is a beach community with great weather. You would need a car if you wanted to go to the beach..about 5 minutes drive (or 30 min walk). Guest access The top floor is totally for guests; sharing kitchen & dining area plus fridge & freezer space plus laundry on bottom floor. Other things to note As seen in the photos, we have 2 cats, Alley Cat and Looney Tunes, who, like most cats, have no boundaries. We try to keep the cats away from the guest rooms but, be aware, if you are allergic to cats, this might not be the place for you.
