Description
The Old School is a cosy yet spacious home from home with plenty of room for large groups. Situated on the A470 between Dolgellau and Porthmadog the location is perfect for exploring all Snowdonia has to offer. The front of the house offers wonderful views across The Rhinog Mountains. Some of North Wales’ best mountain bike trails are less than 5miles away at Coed y Brenin, with Snowdon, Cadair Idris, Zipworld, Surf Snowdonia, beautiful beaches and much more all within an hour’s drive. The space The Old School is just that - built in 1910 and later used as the village hall, the building was extended to its current form in 2010. With two large living areas, a main kitchen and small kitchenette, large dining area, mezzanine snug and five en suite bedrooms (three ground floor and two first floor), there is plenty of room for large groups. The main living room has a tv, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, coffee table, log burner and sofas seating up to 12 people. The sun room offers views across the mountains, comfy seating for up to 5/6 people and a smaller dining table seating four people. The dining room/kitchenette has a large, bespoke dining table seating up to 12 people, tea/coffee making facilities, a beer fridge and sink. In the main kitchen you will find everything you need to cook meals for large groups. An American style fridgefreezer, range style electric stove with 2x ovens, grill and 5 hob rings, full range of cooking implements and basic larder provisions. Upstairs there is a mezzanine snug area with sofa bed, books and board games. All bedrooms have en suite shower rooms, TVs, hanging space and boot dryers with towels and linen provided. There is also a downstairs toilet/drying room with shelving, hanging space and an extractor fan. To the front of the house there is parking for 10 or more cars and a fenced, grassy area. To the rear of the house you will find a secure, alarmed shed to store bikes or other outdoor equipment with bike wash facilities provided. There is an area of hard standing to the side of the house with picnic benches and garden furniture (in the warmer months).
