Description

A private & modern two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment located a couple of kilometres from Cairns CBD. You will have exclusive use of the fully self-contained apartment, as well as all the quality amenities the Resort offers, including tropical pools, BBQ areas, tennis court, and gym. You will love your stay at Cairns One Resort and we look forward to welcoming you! The space THE RESORT This apartment is situated in the secluded, tropical oasis known as Cairns One Resort. This resort is like no other in the City of Cairns and includes: - * Nine lagoon style pools * Balinese style BBQ areas free to use * A tennis court and a fully equipped gym * Cafe & convenience store * Residents lounge * Onsite security at night (All onsite rules do apply for guests). THE APARTMENT The apartment is located on the entry level floor and is spacious, quiet and private. The whole apartment is yours to use with no shared amenities inside. There is no elevator in this building and there are approx. six stairs up from the front of the building to the entry level, and about 12 from the carpark basement. Through the front door, you walk into the open planned living and kitchen area. The kitchen is the heart of the apartment and is modern and functional with gas cooking and a dishwasher, huge pantry, and large fridge/freezer. It has all the basics down to the wine glasses! In the fridge you will find items such as tea, coffee, milk, jam, peanut butter and of course, all Australian Vegemite. We provide items such as tomato sauce, salt & pepper, dishwashing tablets, as well as cooking oil/spray to save you purchasing these items. Best of all we also leave you a packet of our famous Australian chocolate Tim Tam biscuits. There is a Nespresso coffee machine for use and we provide a handful of pods to get you started. We do also provide additional extra essentials to get you started for your stay* such as some toilet paper, paper towels, aluminium foil etc. We do not provide set breakfast within the booking. *All the consumable items provided e.g., toilet paper, dishwashing tables, laundry powder etc. are there to get you started. The items are not replenished throughout your stay and this is not a serviced apartment. The living area has a smart TV with free to air channels and you can log in to your chosen streaming channels if you have an account. We also have free, unlimited Wi-Fi at the property. While we provide unlimited Wi-Fi, this is for domestic use only and we cannot guarantee it will be sufficient for work purposes, or specific/highspeed downloading or uploading. Please keep in mind we are considered a regional area still in Cairns and the speed, and sometimes the Wi-Fi can behave as such. The living room flows out to the private balcony area with a small table & chairs for use. Smoking & vaping is strictly prohibited inside and on the balcony by order of our body corporate. There are two bedrooms within the apartment, both with a queen bed, ceiling fans and air conditioning. There is one daybed in the living room with a single mattress which doubles as a sofa for your stay. Please note five guests is our maximum number of guests for this apartment, INCLUDING INFANTS). The smaller bedroom is within the unit, so does not have a window. Even in the winter, our minimum temperature rarely dips below 20 degrees. We provide a flat sheet and duvet cover to the beds, and a light blanket if required but no duvet. There is one bathroom within the unit with a double vanity, shower/bath, toilet, and hair dryer provided. In the shower you will find shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There is hand wash at both the kitchen and vanity. There is a top loader washing machine but no electric clothes dryer. There is a drying rack inside the apartment with some laundry powder to get you started. There is an iron and ironing board provided as well. We do provide tennis rackets and some tennis balls for you to use the tennis court if you wish to. We have provided lots of photos on the listing, so you are able to view the property and Resort in good detail before booking. CHECKING IN & CHECKING OUT Check-in time – From 2pm Checkout time – 10am latest Our priority is to provide a clean and comfortable property for our guests to stay. A thorough clean is performed between guests, and to maintain the standard we need to have the checkout time at 10am and the check-in time as 2pm. We provide self check-in with a lockbox onsite – meaning you can arrive at any time. We do not live onsite or meet you at check-in/checkout time, however we are never far away and are always contactable via the Airbnb messenger service for your stay. We do require your email address for this apartment, as we have created a PDF guide to send which assists with the self check-in process. Details of the property and how to access the lock box will be sent to you on the day of your arrival after 10am or when the property is ready. You will be provided with two sets of keys for your stay - details of this are on the PDF we send. Fees will apply if both sets are not returned at the end of the stay. As we are only an apartment and do not live onsite, we do not have secure luggage storage facilities available. There are lockers and companies nearby who may be able to assist if you are arriving before check-in. Please search Mind My Bags online if required. PARKING There is one designated parking bay in the secure, underground carpark for your use. The maximum height that can fit in the carpark is 1.95m high (but please check the height before driving into the garage). There is a security camera facing the garage ramp, monitored by onsite security. If you have a second vehicle, there are some other parking bays inside the Resort, however these are first come first serve only and cannot be guaranteed. The Resort does not provide parking for very large vehicles, campervans, or trailers/boats etc. There is parking on the Mann Street side which can be used for these vehicles if required. COMMUNICATION At the request of Airbnb, all communication is done through the Airbnb messenger app. As we do not meet onsite, we do require good communication with guests on the Airbnb messenger app before and during the stay. Please ensure you have the app downloaded to make communication a breeze. It will also mean you can contact me quickly if needed during your stay. GETTING AROUND & WHAT TO DO The Airport is approximately 15-20 minutes’ drive away. Taxi & Uber are easy to catch from the airport. The walk into the Centre of the City it can be anywhere between 25-40 minutes. The reef tours all depart from the Pier, which is easy to get to. Renting a car is a wonderful way to explore all Cairns has to offer. There is a bus service around Cairns, but it is quite limited. Please look up Sun Bus Cairns to check the timetable and to plan any trips may you wish to take. You can plan your route from 12 Gregory Street, Westcourt to your chosen location. We are spoilt in Cairns with an amazingly high quality of restaurants, bars, and cafes. If you would like any recommendations, please let me know. I am always happy to share our great experiences. Cairns has so much to see and do – it has something for everyone. From scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef, to the award-winning Sky Rail up to Kuranda, to snorkelling at Fitzroy Island, a day trip up to the oldest Rainforest in the world at the Daintree, or just having a swim at the Lagoon on the lovely Esplanade. Other things to note HOUSE RULES & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION +Unlike a hotel environment, we do not provide daily cleaning or housekeeping service. Similarly, we do not top up self-containing items during you stay such as washing powder, toilet rolls etc. We just leave a small selection to get you started. +Towels and bedding are provided for the number of guests booked, so please ensure you inform us on the number of guests staying and configuration required. Infants do count as a guest in our apartments. +STRICTLY NO SMOKING/VAPING inside the units – smoking is permitted outside but please be mindful of other guests sharing the space and close doors/windows to avoid smoke going into the property. Ensure the cigarette ends are extinguished thoroughly and disposed of responsibly. Large fees will be enforced for those smoking inside our apartments for chemical cleaning of walls, curtains, and air conditioners for the comfort of our future guests. +Please turn OFF the air conditioning & lights when you are not at the property. +This is residential complex. We ask our guests to respect the other residents by keeping noise to a minimum after 9pm. Parties and loud music is forbidden and those who don't adhere to this rule will be reported to Airbnb and their stay requested to be cancelled. If there is an issue with another guest/neighbour being too noisy, it is important we are informed immediately. We will do our best to resolve the issue quickly – even if it is late at night. +There is a cleaning fee charged on each booking, which is included in the total before you book. This is to have the apartment cleaned and serviced prior to the next guests, as well as having the linen professionally cleaned. +We do ask our guests to please dispose of all rubbish in the apartment during their stay, including emptying the bins prior to your departure – we provide extra bin liners for guests. All dishes are to be washed, dried and put away. +If there is any maintenance noted, or if an item is accidentally broken, please always feel free to let us know so we can repair or replace it. We are happy to do any maintenance during your stay or add it to the list for when you vacate – whatever you would prefer & depending on the urgency. +Approval for pets is essential before booking so we can send through our pet rules and ensure it is the best property for your stay if you do have a pet. +Guests receive two sets of keys on arrival. Charges up to $300 can be incurred if all keys are not returned at the end of the stay. This is for the security of our future guests as locks may need to be changed. +Crime is on the rise in Cairns, and we request all guests to ensure security screen doors are always locked with a KEY (not just finger latched) during their whole stay. Please ensure you remove items from your cars and ensure you lock up sufficiently to deter opportunistic thieves. + Please follow rules displayed around the Resort such as pool rules on the pool gate (e.g. no glass in the pool area), and how to use the gym. + No pets allowed at this complex for short term guests.
