Riverside adventure house in stunning Devon
Description
A huge, architect-designed wooden eco house built in 2017, set in stunning countryside on the banks of the river Exe. A kids' wonderland with indoor climbing wall, swings, slide, table football, piano and secret tunnel - plus outdoor wild swimming, kayaks, trampoline, table tennis rope swing, dens, slackline, tennis wall, basketball hoop, pizza oven and wildlife. The space The house is split over three floors, with the kitchen/diner/sitting room on the ground floor, the main and kids' bedrooms on the first floor and the guest bedroom on the lower ground floor. All the main rooms have river views. This is a lived-in family home so the decoration etc is definitely not immaculate. Guest access This is our home, so when guests are staying we go away ourselves. Guests have access to all the house except for two rooms, which we'll store some of our stuff in while we're away. There is parking out front for up to five or six cars. Guests will have access to our 2.5 acre river-front garden but please note that the garden is shared with two other properties where other guests may be staying. If you prefer to have the garden to yourself, it may well be that there are no other guests anyway - please enquire - and we can also discuss not booking other guests in the other properties for an additional fee. All the amenities which are available to guests are used at their own risk. Other things to note The heating for the hot water and space comes from a wood burning stove which you will need to light approximately every other day depending on the weather. We will leave a plentiful supply of logs. There is wifi throughout the house, but it is slow compared to cities. Streaming video on Netflix and BBC iplayer etc is OK, as long as multiple people aren't trying to watch different things at the same time.
