Welcome to our house located in Clearlake Oaks in the Keys. Our 2 bdrm, 2 bath home is pet friendly (read The Space below) & is suitable for a maximum of 4 adults with children. It is in a family friendly neighborhood & centrally located. It’s only a 5 minute drive or less to local restaurants, coffee shops, the gas station, a boat launch, and grocery store. Explore our local hiking trails, visit nearby wineries or casinos, or just use our house as a home base for boating and fishing. Watch the sun set from the spacious deck while enjoying the sounds of Clearlake. If relaxing is your goal, feel free to use the enclosed section of our patio (mosquito free) as well as the Adirondack chairs; perfect for napping in the sun or reading your favorite book in the shade. For our guests with boats, we allow access to our dock for both fishing and boating. There is also plenty of parking for your car and / or trailer, either on the street or in the two-car driveway. You may not park your car or trailer in the vacant lot next to the home. Yes, we are PET FRIENDLY. With pre-approval, we allow up to (2) dogs at a time on our property for an additional fee (no animals other than dogs). PLEASE NOTE that our dogs live here too when we visit the property. Though we pride ourselves on cleanliness (see our reviews), it is not uncommon to find a pet hair or 2 on the furniture or a throw pillow. If you are sensitive or allergic, this may not be the rental for you. Inside the home you will find a stylishly remodeled mid-century modern living room. Living room amenities include a reading nook with a comfortable loveseat that easily converts into a single bed, board and card games for the family, high-speed Wi-Fi, a 50 inch Smart TV (with easy to locate outlets to accommodate gaming consoles), an electric fire place, and a huge sectional sofa. Attached to the living room is a dining area that comfortably seats 6 people. The living room also has two large sliding glass doors that give you a great view of the deck and the waterway below. One door leads to the open deck, the other leads to the enclosed patio. The kitchen is perfect for entertaining. It easily fits multiple cooks at a time and includes a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, knives, etc.), new appliances (including a wine refrigerator and dish washer) and a breakfast bar. Bedroom #1 has a bunk bed (full size on the bottom and twin size on the top) that sleeps up to three (3) comfortably and walk in closet. This room is great for kids to share with their parents or other children. Bedroom #2 is the Master Bedroom with a new King sized bed and bath, walk in closet and a 32 inch Smart TV. The 6th sleeping area is a pull out twin bed from the chair-and-a-half in the living room. Both bedrooms and living room are equipped with ceiling fans, just in case the air conditioning isn’t enough to keep you cool on hot days. Of course we have provided you with comfortable furnishings and fresh linens in both bedrooms. Our house sits on a long narrow lot leading to the lake’s canals. The neighboring space on one side is vacant and undeveloped, and the neighbors on the other side and across the water are all respectfully quiet. Please continue our policy of respecting our neighbors and neighborhood while you visit. Guests will have access to all of the living quarters of the house. The garage will not be accessible to guests. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the deck, screened in porch and living space, but are asked to respect our house and property, as well as our neighbors. You may not drive, or park, on the empty lot next to the house. There is plenty of space on the street for your vehicles and trailer. If you are bringing a pet, please do not allow your pet to use the lot next to us as a bathroom area. You will have the house to yourselves. However, help is only a telephone call away. You will be provided with a key to the front door. Access to the garage is reserved for the home owner. In our absence, we have also secured a caretaker who lives nearby, and is in Clearlake Oaks year round, in case of an emergency. Family Friendly neighborhood. It is quiet and less than 5 minutes drive to restaurants, coffee shop, gas station, boat launch & grocery store. Our charming little lake house is set up to sleep up to 6 guests. We allow a maximum of four adults plus children. In the master bedroom is a King sized bed for two (2). The 2nd bedroom is equipped with a twin over full bunk bed to sleep up to three (3), and the living room is equipped with a chair-and-a-half that easily converts to a twin bed to sleep one (1) person. Washer and dryer are on the premises. Please bring your own laundry soap. Yes, we are PET FRIENDLY. We allow up to (2) dogs at a time on our property for an additional $25.00/night (no animals other than dogs). We ask that they are well behaved and looked after. We also ask that you be responsible and clean up after your pet when walking in the neighborhood. PLEASE NOTE that our dogs live here too when we visit the property. If you are sensitive or allergic, this may not be the rental for you. A work in progress… We are working as fast as we can to improve our property. We are planning to renovate both the dock and gangway leading down to it. At this time both are safe to use, however they aren’t visually appealing. Also, the property isn’t currently enclosed, but an outdoor dog run is coming soon and the side yard is a work in progress. We do require guest acknowledge receipt of a copy of the House Rules, Guidebook, and sign a (short) House Rental Supplemental Agreement prior to arrival.
