Kathy’s Place is a beautiful villa located in the center of KarimunJawa. The villa is comprised of five guest bedrooms off a lovely communal central living area comprising a large kitchen/dining room and a hangout room complete with flat screen TV and DVD player. Two of the five bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, the other three bedrooms share a bathroom. All of the bedrooms have aircon (optional in rooms with shared bathroom) and the showers have hot water - awesome! The space My partner and I have have been travelling around Indonesia over the last year, staying in all sorts of accommodation – Private villas; expensive hotel rooms; cheap hotel rooms; cheap homestays and not so cheap homestays. Homestays (or guesthouses) are a great idea, but while they are often relatively cheap, more often than not, you get a mattress on the floor or a dodgy mattress on a rickety bed, a fan (if your lucky) and a questionable bathroom. So my partner and I had an idea.... lets create a chain of "boutique" guesthouses – basically we want to provide great quality accommodation at affordable prices. Kathy's Place Karimun Jawa is our first Boutique Homestay. It opened in December 2017 (soft opening). We have rented a local house, and are completely renovated it. We have added three brand new bathrooms and created great communal areas. The villa is furnished with all brand new contemporary furniture; new beds with quality mattresses and nice linen. Kathy's Place is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom Villa in the centre of Karimum Java township. Three of the bedrooms share one bathroom, two of the bedrooms have en-suites. The common areas are the kitchen/dining room and the hang out room. All the bedrooms have air conditioning and all the bathrooms have hot water showers. The kitchen /dining room has a great communal table, fridge, stove, double sink and everything you need to fix yourselves drinks and meals, as you wish. The hang out room has two loungers, a flat screen TV and DVD. There are also hang out areas to the front and side of the property where you can have a cold beer and watch the (Karimun Java) world go by. We have free WIFI, so you can stay as connected as you wish. Kathy's place is in a great location, right across the road from Eat and Meet (#1 Restaurant in Karimun Java according to Trip Advisor). We are also just a few minutes walk to the central area where they sell delicious fresh grilled fish every evening. We are 5 mins ride from the boat jetty where you will arrive on the island and 2 minutes from local boat pickup. Beautiful Sunset Beach is a 10 min Motorbike ride away Our Onsite Manager will provide you with assistance, including pick up on arrival, laundry service, breakfast service, motorbike hire and tours. We can arrange for groceries, beer, wine etc to be there for you. You just have to order in advance (min 7 days), Guest access Guests access their own rooms and the communal areas: kitchen dining room / hangout/TV room / outdoor patios Other things to note We can help to organize your activities including snorkeling trips, fishing trips, hiking and beach fun. We can also organize motorbike hire and anything else you may need.
