Gwynns Island Waterfront Getaway

A lovely waterfront cottage with stunning bay views and the best sunsets on the East Coast. Sliding glass doors create the feeling of being right on the water, even when indoors. You can crab, fish, kayak, grill, and swim directly from the backyard. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Just a mile away is a newly renovated island restaurant with a bar and a wide variety of food options. The house was passed down from my father, and all proceeds from Airbnb go towards making improvements. The space A cozy cottage just 30 feet from the water, with a screened porch overlooking the bay and plenty of comfortable seating. The living room is filled with fascinating nautical antiques, and the sliding glass doors at the back make the space feel open and airy. The sunsets here are some of the best in the area, and you won’t want to leave. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. I live on the property but have a separate entrance, so it really feels like 2 different properties. I’m rarely home, but even when I am, you likely won’t notice. I’m very accommodating and quick to respond if you have any questions or need anything. You’ll have complete privacy, and I’m laid-back—just respect the house, and you’re free to enjoy yourself as you please. Feel free to be loud indoors, but please be mindful of the neighbors when outside, though they’re rarely home and pretty easygoing too. We’re happy to work with everyone, but bringing dogs without prior notice will result in being charged the full amount. Guest access The yard, screened-in porch, and ramp with 3 steps at the bottom, leading to the water, are all open to guests. It's a perfect spot for fishing, crabbing, or picking oysters, and life jackets and fishing rods are available in the boathouse. Feel free to inquire about kayaks ($100 refundable deposit is required) or other options. Just four lots down on the right, there’s a community fishing pier, and the neighborhood also features a public boat ramp, with another one for larger boats located at the restaurant near the bridge. Other things to note We have a few crab pots/nets and fishing rods available for use. There are also bicycles, two for a child and 4 adult, that can be used anytime as long as they are taken care of. Each room is equipped with a Roku TV and we have an HD antenna that provides access to about 30 channels. Wi-Fi is reliable.
