The Pavilion is a Luxurious Self Catered Wing of Foulis Castle just out of Evanton near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. The Pavilion is positioned within beautiful landscaped gardens overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Foulis Castle is a 15-20 min walk away from the Storehouse of Foulis Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). The space The Pavilion is located on the South/West wall of the Foulis Castle Courtyard and is a Private Luxury Self Catered home away from home in the Scottish Highlands. It is a tranquil, quiet sanctuary to rebalance mind, body and soul. The Pavilion front door opens onto the Foulis Castle private drive, parking and beautifully landscaped gardens & ponds. The kitchen area over looks the Castle courtyard and Foulis Castle gardens and has all modern facilities with a table seating 4-6. The Dining Room table seats 6, with views over the Castle Courtyard gardens. The Pavilion's Drawing room is a remnant Tower Room of the ancient Foulis Castle which dates from the mid 15th century. It has 3 large sofas with a 38" flat screen Smart TV with broadband internet connection & Sky TV Cinema. The 5th guest is given a full size mattress which usually goes in the dining room agains the wall, and is fully dressed. There is a toilet on the ground floor of the Pavilion so the 5th guest is self contained, the mattress can also go in either bedroom if requested. The Pavilion has central heating which is provided by a biomass heating system, so the apartment is warm throughout. There is a toilet beside the front door and 2 ensuite bathrooms. The towels and linen on the beds are all new with duvets or blankets. All bedrooms have orthopaedic mattresses. The master bedroom has a king size wooden bed and the second bedroom comes with two singles which can zip together creating a super king size bed, there is also plenty of hanging space for clothes. Foulis Castle has guided tours which are held on Saturdays at 3.30pm bookings are essential and can be made with communication with Ohma. The Pavilion has Starlink WiFi which is very reliable. Guest access Guests have unlimited access to the landscaped gardens surrounding Foulis Castle. Feel free to walk amongst mature broad-leafed hardwood tree alley's and a walled arboretum where they can pick fruit in the summer. Guests are welcome to walk around the landscaped ponds and venture down to the near-by Foulis Burn which follows the original Castle drive all the way to the shores of the Cromarty Firth. Foulis Castle is set in a central location within Foulis Estate (2650 acres) which is surrounded by arable fields which grow Malting Barley for Whisky production. Behind Foulis Castle is the Hill of Foulis which has managed woodlands with beautiful views all the way up the Cromarty Firth. Within the managed woodlands are forestry tracks which lead to spectacular views of Ben Wyvis one of Scotland's great Munro's. Other things to note The Pavilion is baby/toddler friendly and we can offer various amenities such as stair gates, highchairs & travel cots. If you are interested in outdoor pursuits there are a variety of sporting estates close by, offering horse riding, mountain bike trails, stalking, fishing and driven game.
