Cosy cottage,stunning views in a tranquil setting

Bothy is warm and homely - the perfect location for a break or business travellers. Sitting in the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian house, overlooking a charming cobbled courtyard and traditional walled garden. It has stunning views across the fields and walled garden. Open the door and walk straight out into the stunning gardens of Betton House. The space Guests are welcome to explore the gardens and surrounding fields. There is also a fire pit outside the cottage, which guests are invited to use and you can also find quiet places to sit and observe the bird life. The Shropshire Union Canal is nearby and the area boasts many footpaths and rights of way for good walking. The bed linen is of finest quality and 100% Egyptian cotton. The cottage heating and hot water are generated using geothermal ground source energy, promoting a more environmentally friendly stay. The heating is activated by external temperatures and with regard to environmental considerations is set at a level that means it will not generate heat during the summer months. There are wool rugs in the cottage and if needed I can provide electrical heaters. The washing machine is in a separate building and is a shared facility ( hand sanitiser is on top of machine.) We ask please that it is not used in the evenings so not to disturb other guests. We provide the logs for the fire pit. Betton is a working farm (rare breed cattle)and the extensive gardens need maintenance so you might hear the purr of a lawnmower and on the odd occasion a tractor rolling fields at the back of the house or bring feed to the herd. Guest access Please note Bothy Cottage is on the first floor and is accessed by fairly steep flight of stairs through its own front door. Parking is available in the cobbled court yard. We are happy for our guests to wander through our gardens,and into the fields,please be aware some surfaces could be slippy . There is a shared ( with another cottage) washing machine and chest freezer in a separate area . Other things to note Norton in Hales our nearest village has an EV charging point and has a pub “The Hinds Head” which serves high quality food from locally sourced ingredients. The Swan with Two Necks and The Boars Head are a 15 minutes away and I would recommend them too. You can find other recommendations in my guide book.
