Description
‘Bwthyn Cwch Y Gwenyn’ or ‘Beehive Cottage’ was built as a Coach House in 1884. With thick stone walls, central heating and a log burner, it’s now a cosy place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Teifi Valley. The river is renowned for great fishing and kayaking, and the surrounding area is popular with walkers and cyclists. 2 night minimum stay. The space Coronavirus - bookings update Until further notice there will be a minimum of 24 hours between each reservation, this allows for the extra time required for enhanced cleaning protocols during this time, and for the safety and well being of our guests and your hosts, Sarah & Mike. The accommodation includes a large open plan kitchen and living room area on the ground floor. Here you’ll find the kitchen well equipped with everything you need, including gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, and washing machine. Plenty of pots and pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses. The lounge area has a log burner (with logs provided), and a TV with Freeview and radio stations. The cottage has dedicated WI-FI. Patio doors lead onto a decking area, for the sole use of guests. The deck for Beehive Cottage overlooks our garden, so you may see us around. There is wildlife in abundance and there is a small stream below the decking area, so please ensure children are supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times. Sorry, no pets allowed. Guest access There is off road parking for two cars directly outside the Cottage, with additional off road parking a few metres away. Other things to note Both double bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms, and towels and bedding are provided. We also offer the option of twin beds in both bedrooms, if preferred, but require at least one days notice to change the room set-up. A comfortable fold up single bed can also be arranged for the large bedroom, ideal for a small child or other family member. If required, a further two guests can be accommodated downstairs on the double sofa bed, but please take note that bathrooms are accessed via bedrooms upstairs - as long as you are comfortable with this with arrangement. Please be aware that there are low beams throughout the property, and you will need to take care, especially in darkness!
