Beehive Cottage — A Peaceful, cosy Welsh Retreat.

‘Bwthyn Cwch Y Gwenyn' — Beehive Cottage Tucked away on a quiet country lane in the heart of the Teifi Valley, Beehive Cottage is a place to slow down, breathe deeply and truly switch off. Originally built as a Coach House in 1884, its thick stone walls and crackling log burner make it one of those rare spaces that feels like a warm embrace the moment you step inside. The space The cottage has been thoughtfully set up to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. On the ground floor, the open-plan kitchen and living area is the heart of the home. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you'd expect — gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, and cookware, crockery, and glassware. The sitting area has a cosy log burner (some logs provided) and a TV with Freeview, and there's dedicated WiFi throughout. Patio doors open onto a private decking area — a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, with views over the garden. Both bedrooms are doubles with ensuite shower rooms, and all towels and bedding are provided. If you'd prefer twin beds in either room, just let us know at least a day in advance and we'll sort it. The main bedroom can also accommodate a single fold-up bed, perfect for a small child. If your group is larger, there's also a double sofa bed downstairs — please just note that the bathrooms are upstairs, accessible through the bedrooms. The cottage sleeps up to 7, and there's off-road parking for two cars directly outside, with additional parking just a few metres away. One thing to bear in mind: there are low beams throughout the property, so do take care — especially after dark! Sorry, no pets allowed. Other things to note With no nearby road traffic, no light pollution, and nothing but birdsong and perhaps the sound of a distant flock of sheep, the peace here is something special. On a clear night, step outside to hear the local owls and look up — the stars are simply breathtaking. Inside, you'll find a collection of board games and a DVD library for cosy evenings in. And when you do venture out, some of the most beautiful National Trust beaches on the Welsh coast are within easy reach — perfect for a bracing walk or a lazy afternoon by the sea. Whether you're curling up by the fire with a good book, sipping your morning coffee on the private deck, or exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside by car or on foot, Beehive Cottage is your quiet corner of Wales to enjoy at your own pace.
