‘Fancy Like’ - Dog Friendly (no kids please)

I have converted my downstairs bonus room into a comfortable private living space. Guests have their own entry door from the outside. I live on a deep water canal with boat dock, and am 1/2 mile from the local boat ramp. You may use the dock space and there is plenty of room to park your trailer or boat and trailer. Storage space for hunting and fishing equipment too! Guests have their own private bath, and kitchen AREA with coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. No kitchen sink or range. The space Adult guests only please. 21 and up. Please do not ask for an exception. This is your own private space with private entrance (side door of the house) that includes newly tiled private full bathroom with walk in shower, living space, and bed space with privacy screen. Two Guests can share Queen bed, Daybed is twin size, and additional guest can sleep comfortably on the couch. More than 2 guests is an additional charge of $20 per night per guest (again, adults only). The kitchen area provides guests with their own small refrigerator, microwave and the all essential coffee pot. Provided are coffee, coffee pods, tea bags, sweeteners and dry creamer. In that the area does not have a kitchen sink, I also provide water for drinking or to make coffee, and I have some paper plates, cups, utensils and other disposables. Condiments can be found on the counter and in refrigerator (salt, pepper, Mayo, catsup, mustard). The space is downstairs of the house that I live in full time. Plenty of comfortable seating, 42” Smart TV with streaming channels, and good WiFi. The bathroom was an add on from the previous owner. It does have 2 steps up to enter. It has its own SMALL hot water heater. So if you like long hot showers…. This may not be the best fit for you. Also, while the hot water heater is recouping, it is best not to use a blow dryer in the bathroom as it will short the circuit. An easy reset for me….if I am home…jus’ sayin’. Dogs are welcome but cannot be left unattended. If you go out - your dog(s) goes with you. Please do not ask for exceptions. Also downstairs is my stained glass studio. This space is separate from the AirBnB space so you are not sharing space with me when I am in my studio. But you ARE welcome to come take a look! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Guest access Other than your own private space…..Guests are welcome to use the boat dock on the backyard canal. There is also a fire pit in the backyard and covered patio space with picnic table if you would like to use it. There is a boat ramp 1/2 mile from the house ($5 to launch). You are welcome to dock your boat at the house during your stay. Plenty of room in the yard for parking boat and/or trailer. You are free to come and go as you please once checked-in. Door entry code provided prior to arrival. Other things to note The name is ‘Fancy Like’ - it’s far from being a resort! I’ve done the best I could with a pretty “raw” space. The floors are painted concrete and have stains that just never look clean; the walls are painted cinder block; and the ceiling is vinyl siding scraps. Please don’t stay here if you are going to “ding me” for cleanliness. I can assure you, it’s as clean as it gets and the cleaning fee is only $25 because I know that! Linens are washed in hot water, with extra rinse, between all guests. The bathroom is newly tiled-still not spa like but IS clean and functional. I have the area exterminated monthly. And I must say, my WiFi is wayyy better than most hotels! The space is now heated and cooled with a mini split! (Sooooo much better than a window unit) The hot water tank is small but allows for a decent shower - if more than one person showering, you may want to give some time in between to recoup. Great space for hunters, fishermen, boating enthusiast, or lover of the great outdoors…..but be forewarned - IT IS JUST “Fancy Like” and priced accordingly.
