Benifairó de los Valles is a small village, located 7 km from the sea with the mountains almost in the backyard. It is an agreable house with a cool inner garden, 4 bedrooms with 6 double beds for max. 12 persons. The space Experience traditional small village life. Located in a fertile valley among citrus groves and ancient, masterfully crafted carob, almond and olive terraces, Benifairo is a small and traditional Valencian village. It is located halfway between Valencia and Castellón in the Campo de Morvedre, 6kms from the sea and it’s promenade, nude beach, restaurants and summer bars - “ chiringuitos”. Moors originally settled this area establishing a sophisticated network of irrigation and terracing that are UNESCO protected. You can do a walking/bike tour and easily see the artistry of the construction, including water mills, laundries and channels. The casa is a century-old family home fully restored in a two year project. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an internal courtyard garden filled with jasmine and passionflower vines, an alfresco dining area and a terrace for sunny morning breakfasting or timeout in a hammock. Listen for ringing village church bells or just kick back and snooze - you will have all the privacy you desire. The casa is also a good base for hiking and beach-going. Valencia is a 30 min train ride away and has many attractions, including over 40 museums, art galleries, tapas bars, the new city of sciences and the largest aquarium in Europe. Guest access I live in the house. We will share the whole house except private rooms. Kitchen, bathrooms, patio, sofas are available for your use. May everything you need from the hose, be used with respect and common sense. During your stay It will be a pleasure to provide any useful information about the house or the activities available in and around the village. Other things to note Nearby there is a network of walking paths with at least 8 different circuit options ranging from 1 to 17+ kms in distance. A few kilometers inland is the Natural Park of the Sierra de Espadán and Sierra Calderona, with hiking trails and beautiful villages. In the appropriate season you can try your hand at mushroom asparagus or sweet carob pod picking. Also nearby are the caves of San José in the Vall de Uxó. Benifairo has a weekly market, 2 supermarkets and 2 well recommended restaurants - El Celler and Negre Gat.
