Secluded Off Grid Yurt with Breathtaking Views
Description
Our beautiful yurt is situated in its own private 4 acre field surrounded by panoramic views over rolling hillside and ancient woodlands. This very rural location is set in the heart of the Quantock Hills in the village of Holford, Somerset. The perfect place to unwind and unplug, enjoying the peace and tranquility and allowing the stresses and strains of everyday life to melt away. The space Our yurt is set in its own gently sloping field surrounded by panoramic views. There are almost daily (or nightly) visits from the red deer and wildlife aplenty, with wonderful walks from your doorstep in every direction. The yurt comfortably sleeps two in a comfortable double bed with duvet, pillows & linen provided. We also supply towels and robes at no extra cost. Inside the yurt there are two comfy arm chairs, a table and chairs, a small chest of drawers (with extra blankets and hot water bottles should you need them). There is also a bookcase with plenty of books, games and lanterns. Lit with fairy lights and lanterns and heated with a wood burning stove, it looks so pretty as you snuggle into the comfortable leather armchairs next to the wood burning stove. Outside there is a separate covered kitchen with Belfast sink and double gas stove, it is well stocked with all the pots, pans, plates, cooking tools and utensils you might need. You also have the option to cook meals over the large fire pit outside, it has a Dutch oven, grill and hanging wok, or just toast marshmallows and warm your toes as you gaze up at the night sky. The compost toilet has a view like no other and our hot outdoor shower is an experience not to be missed, set in an Ash Tree, under the stars with wonderfully hot water, you are at one with nature, surrounded by ancient Oaks and the hoot of the owls. The outside decking area is spacious, plenty of room to bring out the table and chairs. A rope handrail surrounds the edge, however there is quite a drop from the highest point so small children would need to be supervised. There are various swings and hammocks hidden amongst the ancient Oak trees. The yurt is next to an old tennis court (not playable) where extra logs and the recycling is kept. The Quantock Hills, an AONB area of outstanding natural beauty, are great for exploring on foot or by mountain bike. Enjoy the peace and tranquility far from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Step away from technology, reconnect with nature and leave feeling rested and recharged. Guest access The yurt is set in its own 4 acre gently sloping field. There are two (rather old) bikes for guest to use, these are suitable to pop to the pub but not for mountain biking! Other things to note Parking is at the bottom of a fairly steep hill so this is not suitable for those who are not physically fit or unsteady on their feet.
