Himlay forest house at riverside

Our forest house is maintained by UYRDC, an NGO dedicated to uplifting local communities for the past 36 years. The NGO office is right next door, giving guests a glimpse into our ongoing work with the locals. The room is nestled deep in the forest, right on the riverbank — a peaceful retreat where you wake up to the sound of flowing water and birdsong. Guests can enjoy serene morning and evening walks through the jungle, or simply sit by the river to soak in the calm, natural beauty. The space Our homestay is located right on the roadhead, with the local market just a 5-minute (300m) walk away. It’s a little raw and rustic, surrounded by forest with a river flowing in front. The property offers fewer amenities but is full of nature and peace. Please note: the bathroom is outside the room on the ground floor. Other things to note The room faces the roadside (not river-facing). Wi-Fi and kitchen for self-cooking are available on a paid basis. Bathrooms are shared, and hot water as well as room heaters are provided with an additional charge.
