Our second lovely maisonette, immersed in Mediterranean maquis, offers wonderful sea views and the perfect chance to relax surrounded by nature. It comfortably hosts two people, conveniently located near the sea and Porto Rafael village. Our maisonette is perfect for couples and solo adventurers. If you don't see the dates you want available here, have a look at our second family house only 50 meters away - Charming sea-view Maisonette The space Part of a complex set in private grounds (with a resident caretaker) stretching upwards from the sea and surrounded by rocks, trees and Mediterranean maquis, designed by the architect Alberto Ponis in the early 1970s as apartments for yachtsmen after their days’ sailing (today, yesterday’s ‘sailors’ have generally become beach-loving families!) Our maisonette is the end bungalow of a group of only four, at the very top of the complex (and so gets more breeze), and is surrounded by natural vegetation. Its design makes it private and it has lovely views of the sea. The maisonette has a double bedroom with ample wardrobe space and French windows opening on to the back patio (for drying clothes etc); a bathroom with shower; a larger living room with an open-plan kitchen (gas cooker and oven, fridge), a dining area (for bad weather), and a sitting area with sofas and a TV. More French windows lead on to the shaded front patio – the summer dining and living area. There is no air conditioning (but there is generally a breeze so not usually necessary); there is no central heating, no telephone, no internet access. There is a covered parking bay and also an outdoor cold-water shower. The maisonette is fully equipped with bed linen, blankets, towels, beach towels, kitchen equipment, hair dryers etc. Extra cleaning can be arranged if required, to be paid directly to the cleaner separately; not included in the cost.
