Welcome to your country retreat! This unique section of the farmhouse was originally built in 1840, and features a cozy, king-sized bed. Relax on your private front porch, enjoy the views from the back patio, explore our 10 acres of farmland, take in the dogwoods and beautiful flowers, and get away from it all! Minutes from the Appalachian Trail, Devil's Backbone, and much more-- we are perfectly located to explore the trails, breweries, and wineries of scenic Nelson County. The space This historic suite comes with a bedroom with a king-sized bed, sitting room with a desk, and full bathroom. Upon entering the suite via your own front door (with a secure keypad lock), a mini-fridge and microwave sit in your private foyer, as well as basic utensils, mugs, and plates. We also provide coffee, cream, and sugar on the house! Your bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom are located upstairs. The bedroom has a ceiling fan, and the space is heated/cooled with central air. The suite is attached to our overall farmhouse, and is blocked off from the rest of the home for your privacy. Guest access Feel free to roam our 10 acres, kick it on your private front porch, or lounge in the many unique outdoor spaces on our property, including a gazebo, meditation studio, fire pit, or our sunny back patio. Parking is available in a gravel driveway adjacent to the house, and is suitable for up to 2 vehicles. Other things to note Please note that this is a very rural area, and cell phone providers may spotty or no service. While we do have Wifi in the suite, note that it isn’t high-speed as our county is still working on adding high-speed internet in our area. Also, being an older farmhouse in the mountains we do have the occasional bug friends inside, but we try very hard to keep them outside.
