Modern Getaway in the Thick of It w/ Ensuite Bath

My beautiful three-bedroom home boasts new wood floors, high ceilings, and modern touches from a full remodel, all within the classic row home aesthetic.  With free street parking and a bedroom with a full, en-suite bath, this room is simply perfect for visiting scholars, healthcare professionals, or guests that simply want to be in the center of the most eclectic and active neighborhood in Pittsburgh. The space This is a super cute and fully remodeled old row house in one of Pittsburgh’s historic neighborhoods, Lawrenceville. Recent years have really changed the area, bringing a huge resurgence -- I moved to this neighborhood because I think it is simply the best of Pittsburgh. There is a ton to see and do and eat, and a great mix of lifetime residents and young professionals. The neighborhood is extremely walkable, but also has fast bus access to downtown and beyond, and free street parking by the house too. When you enter the house you will be in the main living area. In the corner I have an office area, but the bulk of the room is devoted to a huge, cozy couch opposite a combination dining area and reading nook, complete with a few books and cushy pillows. Beyond is the large kitchen with granite countertops, new, stainless appliances, and another small eating area. I always have a selection of teas out to which you may help yourself, and I will freshly grind coffee for you daily if you would like that! Going up to the second floor, you will find two spare bedrooms at opposite ends of the hall and the laundry room between them. Your room has a large, queen bed, closet, and a gorgeous, attached bathroom with shower. No worries about putting a robe on in the middle of the night! I always keep a few extra toiletries on hand, such as shampoo and body wash, so feel free to pack a little more lightly. This room also has it's own desk and a comfortable chair in an out-of-the-way spot right outside your room. The whole house is yours to enjoy, with the exception of the second bedroom down the hall and my bedroom, which is the entire third floor. I provide all the linens you will need, soft towels and silky sheets that are 100% cotton. Absolutely all linens are washed between guests, including duvet covers and blankets. I hesitate to mention it, but if you are like me you have wondered if other places actually do this! The house has central A/C and heat. The wireless internet is great and fast from my nerd-approved level router. Lastly, I just want to mention that guests from all walks of life are warmly welcome here! Guest access Guests have access to their private bedroom, private bathroom, free laundry room w/ supplies included, a great kitchen (complete with *almost* every coffee contraption known to humans), living room, 2 dining areas, and back patio which has chairs and a nice container garden in the warmer months. The only area that's really off limits to guests is the first floor half bath. Since I use this partially as a closet and don't prepare it for guests, I'd just ask that you use your private bathroom in your room. During your stay In this area, I take my direction from you.  I like to meet guests as they arrive when I can, but I have the ability to let guests in when I am not available in person.  I am generally in touch by email or text during your stay, and it’s very easy to reach me in person too.  I joined Airbnb with the philosophy that ‘a stranger is just a friend I haven’t met yet.' Other things to note I think you will love my home, but it is probably not for you if your habits would be too noisy for the rest of the house or if climbing one flight of stairs would be too strenuous for you. Additionally, this is the smaller of my two guest rooms. If you will be spending a lot of time in your room or are planning on being here for a longer stay and think the size of the room might bother you, I’d recommend booking my other room! An important note on pets:  I don’t have any!  But, I absolutely love dogs and so I sometimes dog-sit for my neighbors.  During those times only, there may be friendly pets in the house.  They are not allowed in the guest rooms and will either be downstairs supervised with me or up in my room if they can't go somewhere with me.  I have allergies and asthma, so I work pretty hard to counter any potential allergy issues from doggy visitors -- I cover the couch when they are here, steam clean the floors, and also use a service to clean before guests.  If you are concerned about a dog being around, please contact me about it!
