La Maison du Haut offers the charm of a beautiful hilltop village on the French Riviera. Many artists, painters, poets and musicians have celebrated Haut-de-Cagnes and its joie de vivre. In turn, dream of Renoir from your terrace facing his house. Walk along the village streets in the footsteps of Soutine, Modigliani, or Yves Klein. Indulge in a game of boules, a little jazz on a summer evening, or a walk to the sea. Here, let yourself live! The space The Maison du Haut is accessible by a small flowery cul-de-sac. Two steps lead to the ground floor consisting of a living room, a bedroom with a double bed, open to the living room and terrace, a kitchen, a bathroom (shower), a toilet, and a wonderful terrace, facing the Collettes and the Maison Renoir, with a view overlooking the city of Cagnes and beyond the sea. The staircase, at the entrance to the living room, leads to a mezzanine, occupied by a single bed, which serves a second bedroom with a double bed equipped with a sink and a toilet. The entire floor opens onto a balcony overlooking the terrace and surrounding gardens. The house does not have a garage, and there is no nearby parking (as in the whole village). Note: the house is not equipped with air conditioning. It is an ecological choice; however, you will have fans. On the other hand, the location of the house on a sloping street of the village is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or with walking difficulties. It is now a strictly non-smoking space. Other things to note Given the very severe drought we are experiencing and the subsequent fire risks, the accommodation is now STRICTLY NON-SMOKING. Likewise, the use of candles is prohibited. Household waste is collected every morning around 5:30 a.m. at the bottom of the Impasse de l'Aire (even on Sundays in summer). Please drop off your bags tightly closed only in the evening, or in the morning if you get up very early! Non-returnable glass (bottles, jars) are to be deposited at the collector in Place Sainte Luce, opposite SARDO (visible from the terrace). Thank you!
