The space Nestled in a secluded oasis, our cottage-style home offers a unique and private retreat like no other. Step onto our full-length deck, where you'll be greeted by a haven of relaxation. The deck, fully covered for your convenience, provides the perfect space to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. At the far end of the deck, you'll find oversized, ultra-comfortable hammock swings, inviting you to surrender to absolute tranquility. Sway gently as you lose yourself in the peaceful sound of nature & it's surroundings; or lose yourself in the pages of a captivating book. With our fully covered deck and luxurious hammock swings, we invite you to experience a truly indulgent Alaskan getaway. The large, comfy antique sofa is perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a long day of adventure. If you're traveling with a furry friend, we have pet sofa covers and doggie rugs available for their comfort. We also have a wide selection of board games and family games for all ages, guaranteeing fun-filled evenings. - Stay warm and cozy during the winter months with a wood-burning stove, adding both functionality and aesthetic appeal to the living area. - The fully stocked and spacious kitchen features a large island with plenty of storage and a beautiful granite countertop. The raw-edged wooden bar attached to the island provides a convenient space for eating. Adjacent to the dining nook is an enclosed walk-in pantry with ample shelving, ensuring that you have everything you need for your culinary adventures. - The master bedroom offers a plush queen-sized bed with a down alternative gusseted mattress topper, 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and antimicrobial down alternative pillows with zippered satin pillowcases. The Victorian-style teal flower table, refurbished by a local artist, adds a touch of charm. Please be cautious when placing items on it to avoid any damage. Wall-mounted end tables with USB ported touch lamps provide convenience, and there is also a wall-to-wall closet and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. - The second bedroom features a cool floating wall of books, 33” wall mounted smart tv, and an ultra-comfy twin over full bunk bed, each with 600 thread count sheets. - The laundry area includes a 2022 oversized stackable washer and dryer with custom settings, and we provide all necessary laundry supplies for your convenience. - The full-sized bathroom boasts a large wall-to-wall stone-tiled, extra tall, industrial pipe dual-headed rain shower that guarantees a luxurious and invigorating experience. On-demand hot water ensures a continuous and comfortable showering experience. Our property offers a mosquito-free back slabbed patio area, which is ideal for BBQ'ing or enjoying the breathtaking 360-degree hilltop view of the beautiful AK night sky. We have provided a charcoal grill for your convenience, as well as a patio table with seating for four. Additionally, we have two zero gravity full-length reclining outdoor chairs with a cup holder table, allowing you to relax and enjoy extra comfort while taking in the outdoors. We hope you have a wonderful time using these amenities during your stay! - For families with little ones, we offer various amenities, including a 2022 XL pack-n-play (thoroughly sanitized after each use) with an included changing area, instant-inflate/deflate infant and toddler tubs, compactable high chairs, and age-appropriate toys. We aim to make your stay at our guesthouse as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, catering to all your needs and ensuring a memorable experience for guests of all ages. Prior to your arrival, please send us a message indicating any items you may need during your stay. We will make sure to have those items ready and available for you upon check-in. Before arrival, code will be set using the last 4 digits of the booking guest's phone number. Other things to note Two dogs & a cat are on the property. Xena is the mother of LG and they are standard poodles. LG stays on a lead when outside. He likes to roam a bit further. Xena barks but warms up quickly. In the Spring and Summer kitty gets put on a leash as well. But sometimes bolts when given an opportunity.
