Welcome to the Redwood Dome in Russian River! Ideal location within minutes of hikes, the river, wineries, and the Sonoma coastline. Enjoy a rejuvenating retreat in a unique geodesic dome on 2.5 acres of private property, complete with skylights and two decks for stargazing, a farm table for cozy meals, a writer's desk overlooking the redwoods for work or creative inspiration, projector for movies/shows, and a hydrotherapy hot tub that’s literally under the stars. The space This is our private sanctuary and this unique retreat features an open high-ceiling layout with a spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen. The sky lights, high ceilings, and open feel make it the perfect (work) retreat/getaway. There is a cozy bedroom upstairs with a skylight and a writer's nook, and a bathroom downstairs that is comfortable and spacious. High speed internet is readily available, perfect for video-streaming or getting work done (if you need). There is a secret cozy nook in the upstairs loft with a teepee for some personal space -- perfect for reading, dreaming, and sketching! The spacious living room features sweeping views of the forest along with a 92" HD projector/screen with Netflix and more. Couch is ideal for sleeping for a third person (best spot in the house with views on views of the forest!). Note that the couch is not a pull-out couch. It's a space that's best used for quiet retreats, getting away, and reconnecting with nature -- it is not ideal for parties or large events. There are outdoor cameras for your and our protection -- please do not try to sneak in extra guests and/or pets. Guest access You'll have access to the entire place (one bedroom/bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen) and outdoor deck space (including your own private hot tub). Tech: In addition to speedy WiFi throughout, there is a HD projector and 92" screen for a home theater setup. Use the connected Roku to stream Netflix and more. Outdoors: Enjoy two decks that look out onto the forest. Upper deck also has an outdoor bench for dining al fresco. Cozy vibes: We have throw blankets throughout for an extra touch of coziness. There is also a wood-burning stove (for use in the fall/winter), and we ask that you only use if you are familiar with them. This is for your own safety as it can be a fire hazard if used inappropriately -- Fire starters are strictly prohibited as they can do serious damage to the stove and can pose a fire risk. We also have a Nest thermostat with central heating to keep the dome warm. Other things to note Please note that this listing is for one bedroom/bathroom. The downstairs bedroom/en-suite bathroom will be locked and not available. If you want to book two bedrooms/bathrooms, please use our other listing (search for redwood dome and look for two bedrooms). Verizon, T-mobile and AT&T have cell service out here and there is high-speed internet throughout the property (turn on wifi calling and you are set... if you want to be connected :)). No drugs, smoking, or events are allowed. Absolutely no guests outside of the reservation are allowed -- any external guests are grounds for immediate cancellation without refund and may incur an additional charge of $150/guest, per night.
