Furna D’Água II is a house with views to Pico Mountain and the island of São Jorge. The house is inserted in an old vineyard in the center of the village in the place of Cais do Pico, where the green of the vines, the black of the basalt and the aroma of the sea stand out. The ideal location for your holidays. The space From the porch, balcony and patio, you can enjoy the views and, on clear days, a sunset or the starry night sky. You can also enjoy a barbecue and an outside shower, ideal for cooling off on hot days. The house, totally renewed, consists of a fully equipped kitchen and living room (open space) with AC, a bathroom, a bedroom with a king size bed and a bedroom with two single beds (together they become a queen bed), the last one with views to the mountain. The bed rooms have shutters and blackout curtains. If you are a fan of nature between the months of March and November, you can hear the peculiar song of the cory's shearwater (Calonectris borealis) one of the most iconic sea birds of the Azores. In the end of August and beginning of September you can taste the grapes produced on the estate's vineyard. Guest access Furna D'Água I is an independent space, with free parking on the street. Access to the whole house including an ample outdoor space, outdoor shower, barbecue and vineyard. Other things to note - Check-out until 13:00 and check-in after 16:00, however depending on the case there is flexibility (check-in before 16h will be self check-in). - There is another house on the property, about 20 meters away, also used for tourism. The two houses are completely independent, including the exterior areas. -There are no dangerous wild animals around the house. Only harmless animals, like birds. The cory’s shearwater can be observed and heard between the months of March and November near the property at night. -As the house is inserted in a vineyard, and due to the proximity to the coastline, some small harmless animals can be seen around (for example lizards - Teira dugesii and ants). Sometimes (during summer) baby lizards can get through the kitchen door. -During the harvest season, end of August/october, other animals may appear due to the emergence of ripe grapes. - Located in a friendly neighborhood, on a secondary road, parallel to the main road, during the week (mostly during working hours) the main road can be busy. -On the last weekend of July (from wednesday to Sunday) there is a festival in the village. -The house has two flights of stairs outside, one at the entrance and one behind the house. - If you need a crib, highchair, baby bathtub, baby/ toddler dinnerware or other baby/toddler items, please request them in advance.
