This is an adorable rustic but lux little get-a-way cabin in the heart of Jackson, Maine. There are several cabins and workshops built on the property, creating a charming village feel. We love to share our 5 acre space with travelers looking for a comfy bed and those who enjoy simple living and charming details wrapped up in a unique nature filled woodland setting. Enjoy an evening by the firepit or on cool evenings start a fire in the woodstove. Wood provided as needed. Visit us soon! The space This listing is for the front cabin called the Bird's Nest. We are always adding to and fluffing it. Please let us know what your needs are, and we can give you an idea if this cabin might be a good fit for your escape. Situated on 5 wooded acres to wander on.... and another 100+ acres down the road with a stream, pond, and woods roads for hiking! Guest access Belfast is 24 min. away (17.3 miles) and is a treasure to explore. Excellent food and shopping available along with ocean tours that can be booked and surrounding coastal communities to explore. Bucksport, Lincolnville and Camden are all an easy and fun expedition. We are 17.3 miles from Unity College and 30.6 miles from the Bangor Airport. Common Ground Country fair is 11.6 miles away. 3 miles down the road in Brooks is a small grocery store, our wonderful Marsh river co-op featuring local foods and gifts. Ralphs Cafe...(limited hours but oh so good)! Sometimes there are local events in Brooks as well such as evening concerts and other events. Check out Brooks, Maine events to learn more! Other things to note These cabins include recycled windows and wood and were built with love and sometimes with unconventional means, which gives it a unique character and design. The cabin door shuts from the outside with a wooden toggle and has a latch on the inside. The upstairs loft is accessed by a rustic ladder/stairs.
