Croeso i Cymru! Welcome to Wales! Beautiful querky uniquely furnished garden 'Pod' in St Athan old Village. Lovely part of the countryside, quiet, calm and relaxing. We allow a small dog, guests need to inform hosts of their intention to bring their pet with them, as there are certain rules/guidelines. Please see our other listing next door to The Pod, ‘Suite 1’ sleeps 2, ideal for friends/2 couples taking a break together. Private use of garden gym. The space Ideal location for: Business trips, nearby Cardiff Airport, RAF Station, BAMC, Aston Martin, Atlantic College. Sporting events in Cardiff City and Swansea for Rugby, Football, Golf and Boxing. A romantic break, take in a show, theatre, concert and then Cardiff Bay for fine dining. Cycling or walking, Vale of Glamorgan ten Vale Trails coastal and country walks, are on the doorstep, some of which are dog friendly. The famous Brecon Beacons National Park is an hour away. Places of interest/beaches to explore nearby: Gileston Manor with local beach, Fonman Castle, Porthkerry Park, The Knapp, Barry Island, Penarth Pier, Llantwit Major old town, Cowbridge, Dyffryn Gardens, St Fagans National Museum, Nash Point Lighthouse and Cosmeston Lakes. A little further afield: Ogmore Castle, Margam Park, Ogmore-by-Sea, Porthcawl, Hensol Forest, Castle Coch and The Gower. Guest access Guests can relax in the garden, table and chairs provided for alfresco dining in a designated private patio area. Guests can also have private use of the gym next door. Plenty of room for off road parking outside the cottage, please park close to the rockery to allow other vehicles to pass safely. Other things to note Guests to respect check in time of 3pm, if guests need to check in early this needs to be agreed with hosts prior to arrival. Please adhere to check out time before 10am, to allow cleaners to service the room. Pets need to be supervised at all times and on a lead when in the open plan garden as the drive leads onto a country lane.
