Original frame and style remain, though a 15-month renovation has added some modern conveniences. Work was completed in October, breathing new life into an old home and making it comfortable in all seasons. This is a unique house in an old neighborhood in downtown Tainan, a beautiful place with Tatami rooms, and a soul. Room type: The house is available for rent as a whole or as three independent units. There are two buildings, Building A with 3-floors and Building B with 2-floors. Building A can be divided into two units or rented as one unit: (1st Floor air conditioned): The first floor is a public area with a traditional Japanese Tatami room (can sleep here), living room, small kitchen, bathroom and shower, refrigerator, LCD TV and air conditioner. Building A, 2nd Floor: There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one able to sleep 4 people comfortably in two twin beds. The second bedroom can sleep two people comfortably on a twin bed. There are air conditioners in both rooms, as well as fans, LCD TV, and a bathroom with shower. Building A can comfortably sleep large parties of up to 10 people (may include additional charges), and includes Japanese style quilts in the Tatami room, as bedding.
