Once a mansion belonging to a local noble family Torre Bertona has now been converted into guest apartments. Perched on top of hill, nearest to the town's center, Torre Bertona is an ideal spot for a perfect vacation in the heart of Umbria! The space The apartment - bright, elegant, and refinedly decorated with great attention to detail - has been restored preserving the house noble and long history. The ceiling's beams are the original ones, as well is original part of the tiled floor. The kitchenette is decorated with Sicilian 19° century tiles and the walls have been redecorated following the patterns of the original decoration. We want our guests to feel at home even if for a short stay! Guest access Our guests have access to a large terrace with a panoramic view, that is the perfect location for sunbathing or just relaxing sitting outside reading quietly, and ideal for a summer evening dinner party... cool and fresh. A beautiful panoramic swimming pool is set in the luxuriant garden. Sun beds and parasols are provided as well as garden furniture. A large rustic room used to make wine has been restored and converted into a common lounge. An elegant room opening onto the patio is devoted to relax and equipped with a big Jacuzzi hot tub Below the restored castle structure lies a terraced Garden, which once provided fresh fare for noble lord's table. The garden has been transformed full of botanical plants both aromatic and medicinal, and also is utilized for courses in all phases of herbal lore and preparations, or just to sit and enjoy - in a perfect natural setting - conversing, reading, or being quiet! The communal laundry with washer and dryer is on the ground floor. All the communal spaces are for the use all our guests and (if she's there) of the landlady. There are 3 apartments in total. Other things to note INCLUDED IN RENT: electricity, water, cooking gas, standard heating (the heating of the apartments is included from 1 November until 15 April according to Italian regulations - Eventual fuel consumption exceeding the standard 3 cubic meters/day consumption will be calculated by individual apartment meter's reading at euro 6/cubic meter), weekly change of bed and bath linens, regular gardening and pool maintenance, parking.
