Private room in leafy Claremont

We have full solar installed so load shedding no problem. This is a spacious room with a Queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. French doors open to a private kitchenette and dining terrace. We will provide Filer coffee/tea/milk for you to enjoy at your leisure. A seperate garden entrance and secure off-street parking allows you to come and go as you please. Centrally located in the leafy suburbs of Claremont, we are 20 minutes from both the city center and some main tourist attractions. The space This old gem was built in the 1930's on what was once the Ravensworth Estate, and is our long time family home. She’s a little weathered but has more than stood the test of time, and we like to think those 85 long years have given the space a character and warmth that can make anyone feel right at home. My husband Dirk is a freelance photographer and publisher who left Germany at 23 years old and has lived in South Africa for the past 50 years. He has spent a great deal of his time promoting tourism in Southern Africa and has a wealth of information to assist in planning your trips. I am a yoga therapy teacher and have a studio next-door, offering classes as well as one-on-one sessions. We are a very welcoming and social family, so please consider the main home with living area, kitchen and pool as open for you to share with us. Guest access Your room has it's own entrance and although you do have your own dining area with toaster, kettle, microwave, 2 plate electric hob and fridge, you are welcome to have access to our kitchen, solar heated pool and use of an infrared sauna, as well as use of the washing machine for a small fee. There is also a cable television in your room. Other things to note We are happy to arrange an airport collection for R300 per trip. You are also welcome to link into one of my yoga classes by prior arrangement or to have your own one-on-one session for a fee. For guests staying longer than a week we will need access to the guest room in order to replenish linen and towels and to service the space. We have a cleaning fee of R100 per week, and your weekly laundry can be arranged for a fee of R100 per week. We also have a gas heater, gas is for your own account if you are a long time stay - over a month. For security and ease of mind you will have your own remote and a set of keys, which operates the electronic gate as well as the alarm system. This is linked to an armed response service.
